Tamagotchi Angel Gen3 re-make

Good day, Tamafriends. I hope you and your Tama family are doing well. The holidays have been busy for sure. I have been out in stores more than normal looking for new Tamagotchi. I am specifically looking for the stained glass Tama right now. I have managed to buy many of the ones I really want of the current releases but that one in particular has been evading me. Our Target finally has the Tama Angel Gen3's, but only the gold one. I have been TamaHunting in general looking at Target, Walmart, and every other store I can find with Toys.

I hope you all are finding the Tamagotchi and other things you are looking for this year for family and friends.

It's been a really sad year for me, but there has been a lot of great points as well. One of those highlights is my reconnection with Tamagotchi. And upon joining some Tamagotchi communities, I have been very honored to find out that people still remember me. I am still in shock. :)

Tamagotchi I'm Running Right Now

As I mentioned I do have a Gen3 Tamagotchi Angel. I have not started this one yet because it's been a very hard few months. But I have full intentions of starting him real soon!

Right now I have a small group of 5. My first is my Mimitchi Comic Book Shell re-make Gen2. Right now I have the teen character, Tongaritchi, due to change any time now. I hatched this one right away after my last Mimitchi left on December 15th. I hope to have a Mimitchi around for Christmas.

My second Tama I have going is the Ginjirotchi Comic Book Shell re-make Gen1. I did a group hatching with my friend Dennis in the morning of December 14th. He wanted to hatch his Ginjirotchi Comic Tama with me and I was dealing with the loss of my dog, so he wasn't sure if I was up to it and so he went ahead without me. I hurried online and unboxed my Ginji Tama and hatched mine within 15 minutes or so of his hatching - so it was close enough! :) We both want to get a Ginjirotchi in time for Christmas!

To get Ginji on the re-make Tama, I am using a method that Dennis came up with. I will write more about that in the coming logs. If you want to know now, head on over to his website and read his blogs to find out his secret to successfully getting Ginji on the re-makes! :)

The third Tama I have is my 1997 pink and blue clock face Japanese P1. I got Ginjirotchi on that one and he is still with me - he is very demanding but hanging in there just fine otherwise!

My fourth and fifth Tamagotchi are the remaining 2 I have had going for quite sometime. My TamaMix has Blue Mimitchi at age 60. I still haven't let him go yet. I loves him! :) My TamaUni has Mimitchi at age 31. I find it incredible that I can keep these guys around for as long as I would like - that is something my heart always wished for in the days of only raising Mimitchi on my MimitchiTama and him leaving me every 22 days back in the 1990s.

So What Happened to MimitchiTama?

Speaking of...some people have asked me about my MimitchiTama. I still have my very first 1997 Tamagotchi. Oringally he was tiger striped yellow with black border and buttons. In the beginning when I played with him the black stripes wore off really fast. So he became his own original style and got the name Mimitchi Tamagotchi because I only purposely got Mimitchi on that Tama. I fell in love with Tamagotchi because of Mimitchi. So MimitchiTama was always there with me, along with any other Tama's I had going, for years. Much of those experiences are documented in my earlier logs that are still online if you wish to read that history. :)

It is the same exact same Tama I wrote about on my Mimitchi Tamagotchi page That was also the very first Tama page I ever published online. Now the buttons are worn down to the point that they need to be pressed in with a fingernail or something similar. The plastic loop on the top of the Tama wore down from the metal key chain rubbing against it for literal years, to the point where the plastic loop actually broke! I still have the chain though.

Sadly, I just checked and found that MimitchiTama does not work anymore. The last time I checked him, he did work but that was well over 10 years ago. I think there's battery acid inside and dust accumilation. I think if I carefully took it apart there might be a chance I could fix it. But there's also the chance the Tama is not functional anymore and unfixable. Anyone following these logs all these years know how much this Tamagotchi means to me. I ran MimitchiTama for years on end. I am heartbroken to find he does not work anymore.

Mimitchi Tamagotchi

I have always had MimitchiTama with me during all the times I have moved. I don't have a nightstand where I live now, but for most of my life I did have one in various living situations. I have always kept my MimitchiTama on the nightstand next to my bed. He has a spot on my shelf with some other collectables right now. I have always kept MimitchiTama close by in my life all these years. I love him, always have and always will.. functional or not. :)

Website Updates

I am thinking of resurrecting the Updates page from years ago that I used to keep. While I announce some updates on my Facebook page, and in my logs, there is a lot of things I'm doing that really don't work as a Facebook post.

Anyhow, I have (mostly) fixed my contact form. It's been years since I've done any PHP and it took me a long while to get something out that works. It (should) work on most platforms, but I haven't tested it on everything. I also have some things I want to change about it that are things a website visitor wouldn't notice. The contact form works for the time being even without the extra things I want to do. However, because of the holiday, I am taking my time with it and brushing up on PHP. If you have any PHP skills and you would be willing to look over my code, I would appreciate that very much.

I am thinking about how to display links to my logs in a better fashion than I currently do. I am definitely thinking of archiving the previous years. I just need to figure out how I want to do it.

Anyway. Thank you for being here. I hope that you are enjoying the holidays in whatever way you celebrate. And if you don't celebrate, I hope you enjoy the remaining days of 2024. Here's hoping that 2025 brings you peace, joy, and happy surprises.

Below are pictures of our doggies. Charlie just a couple of weeks ago passed away. William passed away 3 years ago. My heart hurts so much.
