What does it do? I already have a tama on it's 5th Generation, and nothing. I figured it might be if I get to a certain generation, It'll place older tamas on it, but instead, they were just deleted from the parent list and that was that. Please help, My brain is imploding just thinking about it.

I thought, at least on the V3, that the History was a list not of parents, but of Tamagotchi that had died without children.

Ouch. Man, that's actually depressing. I was looking forward to filling it up, but if that's what it really is, I'd rather not. It'd be more like a reminder that I murdered a tamagotchi, and I really doubt I could bear that.

Well, here's how to check your Tamagotchi's parents:

1. Go to the Notebook icon.
2. Choose "Family".
3. Choose "Parent".

Your parents should be there.

On v3 there's a glitch, so if you delete one of your friends one of your parents will be deleted too. That's what I've heard anyway.

My understanding was that if one of your parents was from another Tamagotchi unit (as opposed to the Matchmaker), the parent function won't work on the V3.  As I always delete the parent's identity from the next generation's friend list, I'm not sure if that's what's causing it or if it's a glitch.

How many parents can the V3 (and V4 for that matter) store? My V3 is only storing three parents at a time...

Only three- parent, grandparent and great grandparent.

Aw, poopy. Now I'd have to buy another V4 to keep track of which characters I have and haven't gotten. Ah, well. I guess I could do a log or somethin.

The first part I believe isn't correct. I believe no matter how your Tamagotchi marries, your Tamagotchi's parent will still appear. But say you have a Mametchi on your v3 and you mate it with someone else's Mimitchi, or the matchmaker's Mimitchi. Only the Mametchi will appear on the list.

The second part is a glitch. If you delete one of your friends, one of your parents will also be deleted.
