I think the 3 first Tamas are father, mother and the first child (Mame, Meme, Kuchi, Furawa, Gozaru) and then the family buys a house, gets another kid and the final stage of the raising is to have the pet.

That is just my guess. We need to ask Elana's mum or Jiro's dad to translate that page Smiley

I think you're absolutely right. I think it could start out with only the two parents though... I can't explain what the third egg would be right there though. Looking at the arrows, it looks like the two parents (and a friend, maybe? Maybe they have to fight for the male's/female's attention! That would be adorable). Then the next arrow points to a marriage, then to them having jobs and babies, and then the babies grow up and the last stage is the pet, like Kokuma said.

Thinking about that again, I think that it could be that. You can hatch three of a kind, and as they mature the two boys/girls (randomly assigned) try to get the other one to fall in love with them, and eventually the other one chooses? Cos in their hatching screenshot, it looks like there are two boys born and one girl. Of course this is just my hypothesis after really looking at the pictures.

It actually looks like there is always a lot going on on the screen. I'm wondering if it will be the same size as the other connections.

It also looks like there could even be family disputes in this if you connect them. That could prove to be really interesting to watch. The Kuchipatchi on one of their pictures looks like it's yelling at the Mametchi family

Someone on another tamagotchi site said the screen would be bigger, how he knew that I don't know, but he may have just been speculating as well. I don't see much of a difference when comparing the pictures but then again, that would be pretty much impossible to determine.

Sorry it took me so long to upload the video. It's been ready since last night, but my mom turned off the computer while it was uploading so I had to start again. Angry

Most of the observations have already been explained in the thread, but if you want an audial version of the discussion, it's pretty much all covered in the video, which is located here. Let me know if you have any technical difficulties! I hope this helps.

Update:

I just got my mom to translate the page for us!

So the white blob that shows the family eating: the text says (I'm paraphrasing):
"Meals and going to the washroom  — everybody does together!"
The little box with them eating says "meals"; the little box with the Mametchi on the toilet says "going to the toilet"; and the last one with the three characters making angry face says, "even fighting, we do it together!"

The thought bubbles coming out of the smiling globe are descriptions of all the different family types.
"Kuchipatchi family is a relaxed family that loves the hot springs"
"Mametchi family loves research and study"
"Memetchi family is vibrant and goes through their life cycle" <-- I think it lost something in translation
"Violetchi family is blooming like a flower"
"Gozarutchi family never skips any daily disciplinary actions" <-- this is why I love Japan

Now for the yellow blob at the bottom that's inspired so much speculation!

"Three Tamagotchi are born at a time"
"Marriage"
"Once they become parents, they eat meals together, go to the toilet together, and play games together"
"Once you fill up your family by having five family members, you get a pet"

The sumo-looking guys and egg-thingies at the bottom are labelled: "If you feed them too much,  they become fat! And if you feed them too little, they become these egg thingies!"

(Everything's paraphrased from notes I took as my mom was reading it all out to me)

I hope that helps! Everyone's guesses were really close and really good. We are all very clever Tamagotchi detectives. Cheesy

Thanks for the video, Elana!  Smiley As I've already told you, I think it was great. I even feel like I learned a little about the Japanese language.  Grin

Tell your Mom thanks for the translation, It's really nice to get a completely accurate description and put some of this speculation to rest.

You're the best!

I'm behind 56k connection this weekend so the video takes about 45min to load, so I have watched only 1/4 of it yet but it seems really good tutorment about little tsus and other important details when romanizing japanese kana characters to "western" letters Smiley

It's great to have ppl in here boards who have family members/friends who can read japanese. That helps alot when we are researching japanese Tama pages, advertisements etc.

This is one useful site:
Teach Yourself Japanese

I use hiragana and katakana tables in sections 4.2. and 4.4. when I'm trying to figure out japanese names but the site is useful also when you're trying to learn japanese on your own.

One of my friends learnt to read katakana after I show that page to him and he started to practise with "JAVA program to memorize kana characters" (section 4.6.) and now he's practising to memorize hiragana Smiley

As practice for myself, and to help out everyone at TSS, while I'm raising this Shiropuchitchi I will transliterate the names of all the other characters at the bottom of the chart. Smiley I'm guessing these are the guest characters or suchlike?

I can only transliterate the names today. The little blurbs underneath are a little too challenging for me to translate so maybe sometime I'll ask my mom to help with that.

So, from left to right, top to bottom:

First Row
Osumotchi (osu) <-- male
Osumotchi (mesu) <-- female
Metabolitchi (osu)
Metabolitchi (mesu)
Puchiputchi (osu)
Puchiputchi (mesu)
Puchioyatchi (osu)
Puchioyatchi (mesu)

Second Row
Kuromametchi (means "black Mametchi")
Makiko (a Japanese girls' name - my cousin's name, in fact - I named a Memetchi on my Keitai after her!)
Papakurotchi
Majyorite
Furikotchi
Hotsugatchi
Mumutchi
Sukatchi

Third Row
Mimifuratchi
Pantsutchi (like underwear)
Mausutchi, or Mousetchi (like for your computer)
Ahirukutchi (something like "duck lips" or something?)
Mattalitchi
Sakuramotchi
Belutchi, or Belltchi
Tororotchi

Fourth Row
Tororotchi again for some reason
Mamekatchi
Bomutchi, or Bombtchi
Korokotchi
Ichigotchi (should be familiar to us all Smiley )
Shelutchi, or Shelltchi
Hottoteitchi, or Hot Tea-tchi
Watatchi

Fifth Row
Rapusukintchi
Patetchi (I think this is a pun on "potato"?)
Chyantotchi
Onputchi
Yonepotchi
Uhyotchi
Nemutchi (a pun on "nemui" which means "sleepy")
Mukugetchi

Bottom Row
Jidoutchi
Chyaotchi, or Ciaotchi
Merurutchi, or Mailtchi
Nazotchi (we know him well)
Repotchi, or Reportchi
Debagatchi
Gaidotchi, or Guidetchi

Hope that helped! I'll try to get my mom to help with those bottom comments sometime soon.

Haha it seems like the "Pet" one is very popular. I got it second! Haha XD

Elana and I were discussing a group hatch when everyone gets their FamiTamas. I'd love to see how that goes. Is anyone else interested?
