Well, while I was looking for Tamagotchi in TRU the other day, not only did I see a lot of v4s and some v4.5 pc packs, but I also saw these pets, which look pretty interesting:

There are more than one type. That one looks like a jellyfish, and I think there was another one that was a whale or a dolphin? My memory fails me. It looks sort of cute though, and it might just end up being one that I try out, especially for just 15 USD

However, I would love to know.... WHY IS EVERYTHING A PAL NOW? Aquapals, purse pals, and I'm sure theres quite a bit more that are on the tip of my tongue... I guess it just sounds cute and engaging, like "Hey pal whats up?"

...bah....humbug =p

Edit: I just wanted to add that this little thing really reminds me of an UmiNo for some reason... probably the ocean characters. Gotta admit it looks cute and comfy to play with... looks like a nano ipod :p

I found that there is a tropical fish, a dolphin, a jellyfish, and a pirahna for the pets that you can choose from.

it looks very adorable ^^

Nikko UK describes Aquapalz Virtual Pets:

    Aqualpalz are cute virtual marine pets available in Tropical Fish, Dolphins, and Jelly Fish pets. Featuring a touch-sensitive screen for you to communicate with your Aquapalz, there are 3 interactive games to play and you can watch your pet play in its very own aquatic playground.

The most impressive part of Aquapalz is its ability to flip ends no matter which side you hold up! So you can play with it even while it hangs on your neck or when holding it in your hand. Aquapalz are also Skype-enabled and you can dock it in the base you see in the poster below and play PC games with it.

Jiro, did you get that quotation from Playlibrary.com, or from Nikko UK directly? I can't find Aquapalz on the Nikko website. I really want to learn more about the Skype function, because I use Skype regularly on my computer and I want to know how they can interact!

I will definitely be looking for this pet.

Wow that looks really cool! Does it evolve though?  Usually pets bore me when they don't evolve at all..

Skype is a voice-over-IP program that you can use to make phone calls or video calls over the Internet. It's free to call other computers with Skype, and about two cents a minute to call a telephone line.

As to its relationship with this pet - that is the mystery I am determined to solve!

I checked my local Wal-Mart for this toy last night and they didn't have it. I'll try Toys 'R Us at my next opportunity.

Yeah this toy says Toys R Us exclusive, so it's got to only be there

Hmmm, I have no idea if it evolves. I hope it at least starts small and gets bigger... like the giga pets

Do you have one or are you just basing it on what you see online?
