O_O; 30 gens? Wow, those are long-lasting batteries. Still, it seems whether you buy the expensive or cheapo ones 'round here, they last the (now seemingly relatively short) same time. Factoring in IR activity, 'course.

Still, none of these problems have ever come up using these batteries with the previous 4 versions...

also 2 minutes?! I'd have broken the reset button and had several heart attacks in that period if the beep didn't beep as it should've. xD I nearly fainted when the P1 I got in the mail beeped 2 milliseconds later than my Connection V1 would've.

I have no clue why mine always last so long, I guess it depends on the brand.

The Music Star is vvvveeeerrrryyyy sssslllloooowwww, the growth only takes 2 days to become an adult, but the button response time is worse than the v.4.5/Jinsei+. I pushed the re-set button after and (Thank God) it only took 5 seconds until it re started

The v5 reset problem always happens to mine, too. I'm thinking of selling them online. Angry Angry at them!

Hatched a V4.5 at the Valentine's Hatch yesterday, got a baby girl I named Luvly! After much battery trouble she's alive and well.
She evolved an hour or so after being hatched, from Shirotsubutchi to Hitodetchi. Today she evolved from Hitodetchi to UraYoungMarotchi. I found out that when entering the High School thee are actually 3 different teachers to choose from (didn't know this before, might explain why I kept getting the same characters last time. x_x) I went with the 'Gym Teacher' randomly and now Luvly is excelling in collecting FISTS. :O

Also, I took a Magic Eraser to the shell again and finally got the last of the logo off! Now it's entirely a lovely pearly Robin's Egg except for the bits around the buttons.

sooo much cuter than that Globe design it originally had!
My only gripe is that now, it's really slippery!

Luvly is now a Ura-Zukyutchi. She studied FISTS but she got a job as a Preschool Teacher (or rather, studnet counter. x_x) anyway.

Also, I think the King has a crush on her. She's received upwards of 10 Hearts in the mail and then he personally delivered a Chocolate heart, 2 rings, and 1000 Points. o_O All this for a measly 2000-point donation, Kingy?

     yeah yeah whatever

so it's exams again, I figured I ought to have a pet to keep me company. I had dollar-store LR-44-ish batteries, and I'm pleased to announce that they work with all my virtual pets! Cheesy

So I was looking for a pet that I hadn't played with in a real long time, and technically all of them qualify, but relatively... I chose the good ol' Scholastic Virtual Pet/ Marriage Pet / New Infra-Red Pet Game. I've seen it called many things. I chose to call it the 'blue egg', because its egg shape is even more exaggerated than the first Tamagotchi and it's blue with a white design down the middle. I have a good camera these days, I ought to take photos.

Anyway so waited through the obnoxiously long intro animation (if you could call it that) and it came time to name the Blue Egg. Having the standard 5 characters to name it, I thought of naming it 'Exam' or 'Exams' but that seemed kind of cruel, so I settled on 'Examo'.
Examo is a girl. Oh well.
So I dealt with the rip-off Shirobabitchi for a while, forgetting that it's impossible to lose weight with this pet because if you play with it... Sure it loses weight, but it also gets hungrier so you end up just gaining the weight back. x) Examo is currently 21 kg. I was just watching some hilarious Andrew W. K. vlogs (check 'em out) when Examo spontaneously decided she was going to be some kind of lion.... A Chibi Lion. Scratch that, I think Examo is some kind of hellhound. A Chibi hellhound, nonetheless.

I think I just got immense respect for her.

She currently has HP of 10 (completely full), Happy of 16 (this number is limitless so whatever), age of 3, weight of 21 kg, and is Generation 1C. The Blue Egg's generation count is as confusing as always! <3

Examo's batteries fell out a day later. =/ No, they didn't die... the battery backing failed and the batteries literally fell out.

I think I'll hatch a Tamagotchi later today... I only want to run one, but I'm torn between a V2, my V3, or my P1. D:> I think I'll go with the V3... but only because I'd love to see my ol' Mizutamatchi again.

I went to WalMart with my friends a couple days ago, saw those Penguin Palz I posted about in VPC earlier for $5 and Tamagotchi Music Stars... are still $15! D:< I've been waiting and waiting for them to drop the prices on them... but noo-ooo-ooo

So, a couple days ago, I hatched a baby boy on my Connection V3. I named him Forte and he was a Teletchi for an hour or two before becoming a Tamatchi. It was only a day later when he grew to his current form, an Obotchi. Despite having been around for 3 or 4 days now, he's only 2 years old. I have only paused him for a couple hours during one day. Due to my laziness, he's currently 60 lbs. I've been trying to get it down again, but none of the games are very efficient at that.
I did manage to get 1978 GP while trying, though. Bought some things with some of that... Soda, Grapes, Sundaes, French Fries, a couple Plants, and a boombox.

So, that Obotchi named Forte grew up to be a (V3 new-style) Mametchi. Today a son was born to him by a Paparatchi that he met through the MatchMaker.

The Teletchi has weighed him down to the bottom of the screen.

I have had Forte and his son, who I have named Alto, on pause because of my volunteering at a childrens computer day-camp last week. I'll probably do this again next week, too, although I might keep the Tamagotchi muted but still on.
The upside to this, however, is that during that week I got to supervise the children over/sit through a lecture by a professional photographer. I learned a couple things about cameras and how to improve your picture quality on any camera.
It turns out it's not best to keep my digital on 'Auto' all the time?! Shocked

So yeah, I applied my new knowledge to my Tamagotchi, obviously. Grin

This picture is darker than the prettier one I took, but I couldn't capture as much light as I had to set the shutter speed pretty high to get a good shot of them in action.

(Please click for full view)

This one, as the Tama was on pause, I could get more light in, so I did, and the result is a brighter, sharper picture, I think.

(Please, pleeease click for full view)

Ahaha, all y'alls are probably thinking 'wtf is Priestess on these pictures aren't even that good' and I'LL HAVE YOU KNOW that this camera is old, a mere 3 megapixels, and wearing-out sensor with a history of breaking. This is a triumph for myself, if no-one else. ^^'

As for Forte, he's doing good, although at 99 pounds I think he could do with a little weight loss. >.>;
