Can't use store codes

I have the special software pack v4.5 Tamagotchi.
My Tama is currently a 1 year old Hitodetchi, so he's still a toddler.

I've tried using the shop codes, doing everything the instructions say to do, but I can't get them to work!

Does your Tama have to be a certain age, or am I missing something?

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help me.

Do the items atleast show up after you've entered the code? If they do make sure you have enough gotchi points to buy it.

Please let me know if this is not the case.

Ok, are you sure you're entering the codes correctly, did you press 'a' repeatedly until the shop owner's face changes? I have them in case you need to check and make sure you have the right codes.
