Welcome to Tamagotchi Social Sphere! This is a forum where we talk about Tamagotchis, which (in case you don't know) are the
original virtual pets. Before Micropets, before Digimon, before Gigapets...there was Tamagotchi.
There are a bunch of different boards where you can do different things. There are boards to make and take polls, to post logs of your Tamagotchis, to coordinate Group Hatches, even to write stories! There are also a function on the site, Karma, that allows you to praise or chide other members on their behavior. You shouldn't take it too seriously, though; I mean, what goes around comes around, right?
You don't have to have a Tama to join, either. I didn't when I arrived. (Actually, I had a glitchy V1 with a terrible battery life that I never used, but that's it.) If you do, great! If you don't, maybe we'll make you decide to get one!
