I need help. When I shut off my computer after I Hatch a tama, It's an egg when I turn it on again. It doesn't seem to save. If it makes any difference, I'm using Windows XP. Please help.

The same thing happens to me if I turn off my computer when raising my CD-ROM. I have windows XP also, and since the CD-ROM Tamagotchi is a windows 95 program, it will normally reset or glitch if you run it on another operating system. What I do is just leave my computer running all the time if I am raising a cd-rom Tama. I'm caring for one now and I have managed to raise it into adulthood by just leaving my computer on all the time. That is my only way of keeping one alive at the moment. I someday hope to figure out a way to be able to turn my computer off without my cd-rom Tama reseting on me!  Undecided

Dang. I can't do that or A: FPL will love me. B: My dad will buy a rope for me. If you know what I mean. I've looked for a Patch, but no dice.

I had that exact same problem! We discussed it here back in November. I managed to get it to work eventually as described in my log, but I now realize that I never described what I did to make it work!

I had it set previously to run in "Windows '95" mode because I thought that would improve compatibility. When I went back and right-clicked the program to see what I could poke with and improve, I turned off "Windows '95" mode. Thereafter it worked fine. I could quit the program, restart the computer, no problem.

I hope that helps! (I really wish I'd written this in the original threads...)

Yay! It worked! Thanks for the suggestion! I would have never thought of that! Now I don't have to cheat or leave the PC on 5 days in a row to see anyone above Marutchi/Tonmarutchi!

Any ideas for my computer tama? Because, being the energy guzzler I am, I leave the computer on anyways. But whenever my P2 gets to a teenager, it resets with no trace! Whenever my P1 is in even Babitchi and Maruchi form the thing freezes!Waaaa! Huh
