Resurrected from a 7-year silence!

Turns out that my Kimiko Baby Byte wasn't broken, I was giving it the wrong kind of batteries. Now I have access to the correct battery type, so I started it up again.
It's been off since about 2000.

A post(http://mimitchi.com/vpets/index.php?topic=665.0) I recently replied to rekindled my interest in this pet - and bringing it back to life was easier than I thought! I expected to do surgery. It is my oldest virtual pet and has survived many falls in deep snow outside.

Please help me in welcoming back my Baby Byte! I will try to get an image of her, and promise to update my site (for once..) with information regarding her life now that I have experience with virtual pets.

Gosh, when I read the title I thought, "man, something from back in '97" or so. ... 7 years ago was the year 2000. Lips Sealed

It's crazy, isn't it? It doesn't seem that long ago, but 2000 really was 7 years ago.

My cousin has a Nano Kitty but it's broken, it was dropped in the snow and got soaked.
But still, what's wrong with yours?

I had my talking nano kitty since grade 6 so when it first stopped working it was due to the metal parts that connect to the batts being slightly corroded by leaky batteries. My bro in law at the time fixed that and it worked again for a while. Second time it stopped working I don't believe it was corrosion again since I didn't see any new buildup, but I'm thinking it was too worn of years of use. I haven't been able to get it working since and it's too sentimental for me to throw away.

I've been hoping to eventually come across another talking nano kitty on ebay, as well as the other talking nanos in the series...then I can bury my original one and let it go. It's just a chalk full of good memories, plus good memories of my cat Max because Max used to like my nano kitty talking to him and making noises. I miss both of them very much.

Maybe if I'm lucky you're magical healing abilities can bring it back to life Wink
