Around 4:00-4:30 this afternoon, I caught both my Tamas doing something strange.  It was a special animation, and I believe that it was the same one on both of them, but the different characters portrayed it in different ways.  I have never seen any of my Tamas do it before.

When I picked up my V2, a Marumimitchi, to check its status, I saw it standing in the bottom of the screen, instead of floating in the middle.  It was on the far left side, and it had one arm lifted over its head, while the other appeared to be normal.  Its mouth was a big "O".  There also appeared to be some sort of "effect" around it, although whether it was quiver marks or some other I didn't notice.  Slowly, it started moving towards the center.

Perplexed, I picked up the V3, a Decotchi, only to see it halfway between the far left side and the center, on the very bottom row of pixels, as well.  It didn't have any effects, and I didn't notice anything unusual about its facial expression.  When it reached the center, it appeared to turn around, where it looked like it had an envelope taped to its back.  This could have just been "stitching", like on the Decotchi's face when it paces.  But before I could check the V2 again, they both resumed normal activity.

Does anybody know what it was?

OK, I have an update.  At 4:30 this afternoon, the Tamas started the animation again.  This time, I was expecting it, so I was able to get a closer look at their motions.  Their side-to-side motions on the bottom row of pixels is accurate, but I have a bit to clarify.

The Marumimitchi had diamond eyes, and appeared to be going   Shocked.   The ear on its FAR SIDE (i.e. if the Tama was going right, the left ear, and vice versa) was normal, but the ear on its NEAR SIDE looked like it had been stretched out...it was tall, thin, and perfectly straight.  Its arms were normal.  By the arm on its NEAR SIDE there were three little dots arranged in a vertical pattern, and two short lines over the ear on its FAR SIDE.  When it would reach the center, it would make the "happy face" it makes, where it has blush marks on its cheeks.

The Decotchi would simply face the direction it was going and head that way with his usual frownie face.  However, it appeared to have some sort of pack on its back.  When it reached the center, it would turn around backwards, where the pack would look like an envelope.

Has anyone else experienced this?  I never have, and I'm quite puzzled.

I have seen a V2 with the pack on its back, although around the beginning of September - I figured it was a "back to school" thing.

Perhaps your V3 is off to summer camp or something? Or is the clock wrong?

No clue what your Marumimitchi is doing though...

Well, I'm pretty sure it's the same "thing", but as different Tamas they do it differently.  They always cue at the same time (4:30), so I think it is indeed the same action.  But what IS that action?  That is the question!   Huh
