This thread will contain all the descriptions that will be useful to playing the game. Please follow my example and write up a physical description of your character, so that everyone will know what to imagine.

This way all the descriptions will be in one place so there's a quick and easy reference for people and objects. (It's still a good idea to include physical descriptions in your poses too.)
The Space Moth: ExteriorThe infamous
Space Moth wore all of her travels on her hull. Years of damage and repair is layered like paint on an old house, but all the repair jobs were clearly done with love and tenderness.
Her visual similarity to her namesake is probably a coincidence, since the vaguely butterfly-shaped design is standard to all vessels of her class. She is composed of four flat oval discs joined together on a cylindrical spine, like four wing segments attached to a butterfly's thorax. Thrusters on the outer edges of each disc gives the
Moth a high level of manouvreability. Being so symmetrical, she can switch directions at will. Two projections from the 'head' of the butterfly (strongly resembling antennae), are the arrays that project the warp signal that permit faster-than-light travel.
Her hull still gleams like fresh iron. Clearly her captain wants everyone to know the pride of her ship.
All told, she occupies about the same amount of space as a small shopping mall.
The Space Moth: InteriorFrom the inside, it's easy to divide the space in the
Moth into five segments. The four discs are referred to each as a "wing" - no doubt a little joke of Captain Fatefire. The 'body' of the butterfly is simply called 'engineering'.
In counterclockwise order:
Ops Wing: Here are all the offices and laboratories to serve the function of the
Moth's crew. Down the corridor, there is:
- Captain Fatefire's ready room
- The infirmary
- The navigation room, full of star charts and computers
- The biology lab, set up to study the fabulous Tamagotchi that they find, as well as their natural ecology and other interesting samples
Living Wing: Here are where the living quarters of the crew are located. They are fairly spacious, but not particularly designed for comfort, with metal-plated walls lined with computer consoles, and small bunk beds. Captain Fatefire is, however, very tolerant of customizing one's room, so many of the crew have been very creative with their interior decorating. Down the corridor, there is:
- Captain Fatefire's quarters (the biggest, naturally)
- Commander Namishima's quarters
- Lieutenant Weindmore's quarters
- Tinker's quarters
Zoo Wing: This wing is often raucous with activity, full of rooms lined with spacious cages, and playrooms for the multitudes of exotic Tamagotchi that they catch. Almost every eventuality is considered, so that any variety of Tamagotchi will be comfortable. After all, what's the good of catching it if you can't keep it healthy for the return trip? Right now, the Zoo Wing is mostly empty, since they are on an outgoing voyage to catch Tamagotchi. Their last shipment is now finding happy homes on Earth. Only the crew's personal pets and companions are lounging in the Zoo Wing for this leg of the trip.
Rec Wing: This wing contains everything extra to keep the minds and bodies of the crewmembers happy and healthy. There is a gymnasium and swimming pool, because athleticism is integral to a successful Gotchi capture, whether it be a tiny Imotchi or a big marine Kujiratchi. There is a small movie screening room, for occasional movie nights or video games. There is a small library, full of reference books about Tamagotchi. Here is also the mess hall, where they each take turns preparing meals for the crew. They eat together as much as their work shifts permit.
Engineering: The long, cylindrical body of the
Space Moth is pretty much wholly the dominion of Tinker the engineer, ever since he joined the crew a few years ago. It's almost unrecognizeable from what it was when Captain Fatefire first bought the ship; it is full of creative new additions and inventions that have made the
Moth hands-down the fastest and most manoeuvreable starship ever built. No one but Tinker knows how anything works. In short, he is indispensable.
The Bridge: The centre of all operations on the
Moth is located in the forward tip of the central Engineering structure. It is brightly lit, enough to call it 'sunny', even though such a term is quite silly in deep space. It is dominated by a large viewscreen at the front end. The room is circular, and clearly Captain Fatefire saved all the luxury for this one space. The chairs at all the consoles are soft and cushy and suede; the consoles themselves are lit with softly-lit touch-buttons. The captain's chair is in the centre; there is no question which it is, since it is high-backed, very soft-looking, and draped with a warm blanky and fuzzy pillow that Rory doesn't let
anyone touch. To her right is the first officer's seat. There are two consoles in front: one for steering, and the other for sensor analysis, which can sense both long distances for other ships, and scan planets for signs of Gotchi life. Both are accessible from the navigator's chair. Behind the captain's chair is the tactical console. Three consoles along the back wall can be activated for whatever needs might arise in their mission.
Captain Rory FatefireCaptain Fatefire is about 5'4", but her presence seems much bigger than that. She seems to be all tightly-packed muscle and energy. Something about her seems very feline. Maybe it's the bushy dark hair that flies wild all around her head; it's streaked black and gray. On a cat, you'd call that 'tabby'. On a woman, you'd call that... "very nice", because you wouldn't want to get your head bitten off. Maybe it's her eyes; they're wide-set, slightly slanted, with such dark irises that they just look like enormous pupils. Maybe it's her pert little mouth, a faint pink with an overly emphasized Cupid's bow. Or maybe it's the freckles or beauty marks that dust her cheeks where whiskers ought to grow.
Perhaps the most catlike thing about this woman is her demeanour. She can hold still for eerily long durations, with only her eyes moving - you can practically see her tail flicking behind her as she thinks about her next plan of action. When she does move, it's very sudden and unexpected. She tends to make people jump, inadvertently.
Captain Fatefire is wearing the casual uniform of the crew of the
Space Moth. This uniform includes soft, loose-fitting black pants of durable but stretchy material, a loose tunic (coloured red to indicate command), and a well-worn jacket made from the tanned and treated, naturally-shed skin of a Kaerutchi. On her feet are tough black boots. Hooked on her waistband is the communication device issued to all crewmembers of the
Space Moth; about the size of a Pocket Pikachu, it is touch- and voice-activated.
Her voice is soft and somewhat breathy, and full of authority. No one asks her twice when she issues a command.
Okay, now it's your turn! Please include your description of your character. This is how others will visualize your character, so please provide as much detail as you think is necessary to flesh out the mental image. This is the general description; anything more specific (e.g. workout clothes if the scene is at the gym) can be described in-scene. This is the foundation from which all future descriptions are built.
I wrote mine as continuous prose (because I'm snobby like that), but if you're more comfortable in point form or question-and-answer, make sure you hit on the following points:
- hair colour, length, texture
- eye colour, shape, position
(Hair and eyes are the two things people seem to find most memorable, so don't skimp on them!

)
- any interesting facial features, e.g. skin colour, beauty marks, facial hair
- body type, including height
- any interesting features of the body, e.g. hands, feet, arms, legs, tattoos, scars, disabilities...
- demeanour (how does s/he carry him/herself?)
- clothing
- accessories, jewelry, weapons, tools
- how his/her voice sounds
Don't worry,
you can definitely edit this later! If something changes about the way your character looks, you can just come back here and modify it.
Have fun!!
