Elana and I were talking about sleep the other day so I thought this poll would be fun. ^.^

How long do you typically sleep at night?
I selected 5 - 6 hours. I typically don't sleep enough and many times that drops into the 4 hour range. It is my own fault, I like to stay up and do things all the time. This results in me taking naps here and there and sometimes falling asleep without knowing it.

Additional Questions

Do you go to bed and wake up at the same time every day?
I do wake up at the same time every day for the most part. I really want to be on a schedule so I feel like I can sleep and wake up feeling refreshed. So I can get up every day at the same time, I just find that I still go to bed late and I can't help it - I like to work on projects or game late at night.

Night is just quieter and I feel like I enjoy those hours more. I rarely go to bed at the same time every night and this causes me to go to bed sometimes very late in the morning. I still get up every day at 9:15 though (with some occasional sleep in days) So basically I feel exhausted 24/7  Roll Eyes

Do you enjoy sleeping?
I love sleeping, but I wish it only required a few hours of my day and still have it give that same satisfaction as an 12 hour night.

Have you slept for that "15 hours or more" option before?
I have just a few times in my life - these were all times that I was sick with the flu or similar though. I can never get enough sleep when I'm ill. Otherwise, I don't recall too many times I've slept more then 12 hours at a time.

How long do you typically sleep at night?
I selected 7 - 8 hours. I only tend to get less if my brain won't turn off, my body's restless or if my sleep pattern has to get drastically changed. Before my babysitting gig I woke up noon-1pm and went to bed between 2-5am. I had to change it and had some trouble adapting so I got only 4-6 hours one or two nights.

Do you go to bed and wake up at the same time every day?
Yep! Once I have a sleep pattern situated then it stays that way unless some form of stress (be either good or bad) happens. When I'm really distressed and upset I rather sleep a lot or don't sleep at all.

Do you enjoy sleeping?
Oh yeah. I have a bad habit in having a nap just because I'm bored. I slept a lot too one time when I was younger and was grounded from any form of entertainment imaginable. I slept to dream and I dreamed to keep my brain busy. There's nothing like laying there comfortable and dozing off.

Have you slept for that "15 hours or more" option before?
Only when REALLY sick or REALLY depressed. 15ish hours was about the amount of time couple of years ago when my breakup with the boyfriend was fresh. That and add the times I wanted to nap when I was awake too. It took a lot to out of that habit let me tell ya Tongue

How long do you typically sleep at night?

I usually try to get as much as I can, but, it's so varied that it's just too difficult to choose an appropriate time. During Uni terms I'm always staying up late studying/ tooling around even when I have to get up early morning. The way I cope with this is getting daytime napping down to a fine art. Because I live on campus, I can come home and nap between lectures, or straight after class. Most of the times my day is divided because of sleep and naps.
On holidays, I stay up really late every night and sleep as much as I can. Just now I slept for about 11 hours.
So.. hard to really say. I'm a quick adapter to sleeping habit changes.

Do you go to bed and wake up at the same time every day?

Not at all. I don't think I could handle living on a schedule.

Do you enjoy sleeping?

I love sleeping. Especially napping. I'm most happiest when I've just had a good lunch, and have the rest of the afternoon off, to lay down and have a nice doze. I dream often, so that too is something to look forward to a lot of the time when I wake.

Have you slept for that "15 hours or more" option before?

I don't think I hit that mark quite often, my Flat is rather alive most of the time, it would be near impossible to get to 15 hours uninterrupted.

Sleep? These days, 5-6 is the norm. I do have a nice sleep routine, which only gets broken when I've gone on a depressive bout and slept for 24 hours at a time. I'm not a good sleeper, sadly.
