A new Tamagotchi I'd like to see is... resurrection of an older Tamagotchi - the Morino.

Bandai had advertising for the morino all ready for the US audience and way back when this was happening there was even a section on their website for the up comming release - which never happened.

A part of me wonders if they have a warehouse full of english Morino somewhere.

If any changes, perhaps add a couple more games, but otherwise leave as is. I really do think most anyone who enjoys tamagotchi would enjoy Morino ^.^

I know one change they could make. Take the screensaver thing off. It's cute, but us morino folks know it's a pain in the butt sometimes.

Methinks the Forestogotchi are with the E.T. Atari cartridges.
Anyone going to Mexico soon?

I was thinking about some kind of water sensor for a Tama, then I was all 'oh wait - ._.''
But yeah, I don't really care if ideas posted here are feasible or not.
Add a watering sensor to that flower Tam!

(Screensaver on a Tamagotchi? My computer screensaver bugs me enough on the 15 minute setting..)

I agree lenni. They should have a V4.5 that is purple with yellow buttons yellow stars and that star should be yellow on top of the antennae

Well, ultra-sound sensors that are used in robots and stuff to detect objects close by are around the size of those LR66 batteries, so it shouldn't be hard to stuff one of those in a Tamagotchi casing, right? Somehow incorperate objects being close by to the gameplay of a Tama...

Just a thought.

I thought of a crazy idea at work today, daydreaming while customers browsed very very slowly...

Robotic plushy accessories!

When your Tamagotchi becomes an adult, you can buy a robotic plushy that matches the character you got, and that has a dock for the Tamagotchi unit - like a pet pouch with moving parts! When the character has needs, the plushy can make sounds and move to indicate that you need to attend to it. Meanwhile you get a soft thing to cuddle that resembles your character. Grin

This is kind of like a cross between Furby and Tamagotchi.

At first I imagined it at standard teddy bear-size, but I think it would be more practical and portable if it weren't too much larger than the Tamagotchi itself. But then I wonder how difficult it would be to make robotics that small.

Wouldn't it be cute to have a little plushy Kuchipatchi in your purse or whatever, making little noises and wiggling?

I think if they were ever to make that, the line of Tamagotchi units would have to have much fewer characters on them than the current trend, so that you wouldn't have to buy a bazillion plushies to make sure you can match with whatever character you get.

I would probably wake up on time if I had a robotic plushy Ojitchi wagging his legs at me and saying "I'm hungry" in Gotchi language (like on the CD-ROM!).

What kind of question is that?! OF COURSE IT WOULD BE CUTE!!!! God what I would do to have one of those. Very good idea Elana!

Sadly, I think that here in North America the tamagotchi craze has died down significantly, so I don't think that Bandai would think it would be smart to let out tons of animatronic plushies. It would probably cost them more than it would make for them to let stuff like that out here.
