I remember there being a thread like this on the old forums...but I can't seem to find one here! If I am mistaken please redirect me.

Anyway, this is a thread in which we throw around random ideas we'd like to see in a future Tamagotchi version or edition. It can be a small addition, like a new feature, or a completely new type of Tama, like a Bird-type sequel to the Umi/Mori no Tamas.

One thing I've been fooling around with in my head was the idea of a Tamagotchi Connection Angel. You could connect the angel to a Connection which has died with some kind of over-riding IR signal or something and put the angel version of your dead pet on it.
Actually, that's kind of creepy...x_x

I'd also like to see a Tamagotchi that brings back the being able to choose an egg to raise for different care methods.
Or even, just a Tamagotchi Connection that has more baby stage types than just the male and female varieties. I want to see Babitchi, Puchitchi, and Teletchi on one Tama! It'd certainly ease Friend management, not having to see all the babies go from one form to another.

What an awesome topic kudos to you Priestess!

I honestly would like to see a modern version of the mesutchi and osutchi. Yes you probably are thinking "Connections are the closest thing to that!" I mean besides the mating. Update the characters on there from the originals and add some more "tmp's" you could get to like past 4, maybe 8? And be it similar to the entama/V4 designs, make the circle a heart shape ^_^

There was a non-Bandai vpet that I saw on Tinkerville. The characters are flowers. There's a light sensor in the top, so you need to put it somewhere bright for it to grow. There was a male-type unit and a female-type unit, so they could mate. I always thought that was a really cool pet and I've scoured eBay looking for it, but I've only ever found knock-offs.

If there weren't any copyright issues, I would love to see a Bandai vpet with a light sensor. Plant characters would be really cute.

But otherwise, most of my favourite things have already been done. Music? There's the Music Fever. Pets within pets? The blue Deka. Archaeology? The Genjintch. Pedometer? Arukotch.

I'll really have to scratch my head and think of anything else I could ask for.

Ah yes you're talking about the Hanami virtual pet. That is a neat pet I want to someday get my hands on. That would be a good addition.

Wow, that's an awesome pet. I want one. A light sensor would be very, very cool to have on a virtual pet.
Also long as it detects all light rather than just sunlight... Leaving a VP out in the sun could be disastrous.

I'd also like to see a remake or rerelease of the Mori no and Umi no Tamagochi. Or even, just see some aspect of them come up again, like I said before.

Something I would really like to see has already been mentioned, characters from Ocean,Morino,and Angel. I would love to see them mix in some characters from any of those previous tamagotchi, but they would probably have to base one entirely off ocean tamagotchi to actually have ocean characters, I'm not sure mixing them like they always do would work.

For some reason having a connection version of ocean really seems awesome to me, heres hoping they someday decide to do it.

Well, Wi-Fi would be too improbable in the future, methinks. Some surprisingly small things have had wi-fi capabilities in the past.
Although, if you wanted to take it online, a lot of setup would be needed for that tiny screen.
*remembers the trouble she had getting her DS online*
And the Wii's online access STIL doesn't work...

But I still think that's a really cool idea.

I just thought of something.
You know those Build-a-Bear stations that are, as I have heard, around?
Well, something like that for a Tama would be wicked.
You go in and get the motherboard and screen and stuff, and you'd get to pick the screen background, the buttons, the beep, and the shell...
And of course, sneak a pencil into the store for easy debugging.

A new Tamagotchi I'd like to see is... resurrection of an older Tamagotchi - the Morino.

Bandai had advertising for the morino all ready for the US audience and way back when this was happening there was even a section on their website for the up comming release - which never happened.

A part of me wonders if they have a warehouse full of english Morino somewhere. 

If any changes, perhaps add a couple more games, but otherwise leave as is. I really do think most anyone who enjoys tamagotchi would enjoy Morino ^.^

I was in an office waiting room this afternoon, holding Pink Tama in my hand on silent, and I thought of what I would really like to see in an upcoming Tamagotchi: either a vibrate function, or a flashing light function. Just like a cell phone, I want to be able to put my Tamagotchi on 'silent' but still have some way of signaling me for my attention. That would be so convenient!

I don't think they could put a vibrate function like in a cell phone or a Playstation controller - that would be too bulky. But maybe a little spinning gyroscope or something to make it buzz? I don't know what I'm talking about. Maybe little flashing LEDs would be more feasible. Like maybe at some points in the Tamagotchi logo at the top, or little flashing lights around the screen like on some of those flashy cell phones.

That would be so handy in class, or on the subway where I can't hear anything, and in situations like a waiting room.

Taking it to a crazy fantasy extreme:

A headphone jack so that it could plug through my iPod and beep through my headphones when I'm listening to music! <-- would take up way too much space in the unit and require it to be huge and unwieldy

Bluetooth so that it could wirelessly detect if it's near a cell phone, handheld device or computer, so that it will know which speakers to use! <-- would drain batteries soooooo fast. But maybe this would make Jiro's Wi-Fi come true!

But someday... maybe someday...
