I've had a new non-Bandai pets.

I used to have a Kitten, and a Koala. I didn't find them that bad, just very repetitive, and they were very noisy in that they would beep for no reason.

I also had a Dinkie Dino if I recall. I loved this thing, it was one of the few non-Bandai pets I would consider buying again. I have a childhood memory of sitting in front of my brown cupboard playing with the Dino, unfortunately time got the better of it and it died on me. I've been looking around on eBay, may purchase one if I (ever) have a spare bit of cash on me.

I can't remember when I first got my Tamagotchi. But I do remember how everyone in my class had one, and I found one in the library and handed it into lost and found (I would be so upset if I lost mine!). We used to sit on the grass at lunch time playing with them. Wow, this is going back a fair few years. I must've been about 8 or 9.

I have had bad and good expiriances with non-bandai pets. I try most v-pets at least once though.  I really enjoy my Dragon Quest slime pedometer guy.  And my Sony Funbbit that goes into my headphones but, I'm not a fan of either of my nanos or the new giga pet.

Yeah I saw a few of those new giga pets out. I think Tiger Electronics is wanting to try to get in competition with bandai again Tongue The old school giga pets were decent. Not for the beginner virtual pet user mind you, but they weren't bad.

They're going for a way younger audience and they're trying to make it sorta like Animal Crossing.  They connect into this separate thingy for the TV and they can have a house in there and stuff... You can have them without the TV but there's barely anything to do.  And the TV is just so childish... like, I love childish things but, this is to the point of boring

Yes, the new other brand pets seem to be a bit on the kiddee side. The older ones are pretty nice. I can't imagine not having them. Some are quite fun and unique!
Not to push my site but have you seen my "other/odd pets" section?

Yes. Smiley Yuki Penguin (thanks Mothra!) was probably my favourite. Smiley It has a very cute gameplay, and the penguins are cute to get. Cheesy

Unisaur (thanks Mothra!) was also fun to play with - it had interesting evolution growths, but it was very demanding as a baby, and you couldn't pause it like Yuki.

"Fitboyz" No comment on the name, lol. They were cheapish, so I tried one out, they are OK. They are fun, but at the same time, it is always the same character, and it isn't particularly cute (downside) but the animations are amazing!

My first one was actually a Tamagotchi. xD I forget which version, but it was one of the very very early ones. Mine was camp colours.

My second one was a Nano Puppy because my friend had a white one so I got an orange one so we could play together after my Tama's batteries died, hehe.

After that I've only played web-based VP sites until recently when I got a whole bunch of v3 Tamas!

I have the Neopets Desert Aisha virtual pet as well, and I like it, but tamas are still the best. Smiley

I have a couple of those Neopets virtual pets too.. they are packed away, they didn't appeal too much to me :/ thought they were cute tho. I forgot to even include them on my Vpets list hehe.

I haven't had any type of virtual pet since I was little. And of course I've forgotten what kinds of virtual pets they where. All I remember was a watch that had a dino baby on it. So cool but the battery died and I ended up losing it or got rid of it. The only other I remember was a blue block that had a fighter virtual human. I built him up and ended up beating a boy in my class. But if anyone could tell me more about those I would LOVE that.
