I don't want to sound rude, but this is actually your first good topic  Wink

We used to have horse ranch/riding center in neighborhood when I was teen (in 90's) and thou I didn't ride horses I used to spend plenty of time in there and help in ranch work and horse caretake. Through the years there was 2 horses which I brushed and cared of the most. One was named Velmu ("Joker") and other was Sir Patrik. Both were large and calm geldings and little girls who came to ride there were afraid of their size so I was more than pleased to take care of their brushing and maintaining their equipment.

Later Velmu was "put to sleep" cause of incureable lung disease and Sir Patrik was sold away so neither of the two geldings live in that ranch anymore.

Horses are great animals, really noble beings.
Last weekend when I was driving from my parent's hometown to here where I live, I saw black shire horse in one field and had to stop the car in nearby bus stop just to watch the courgeous creature. It was all black with white vein in the forehead, and had white pastern hair.
I have always wanted to have shire horse on my own, they are right size creatures for a 6'6" (195cm) person like me. Smaller riding horses would be like "huff puff get outta my back..." if I rode those Grin

Thanks! I'm glad you like it!
Sorry to hear about Velmu and st.Patrick. Sad
Sometimes when the horses look at you it's like they know something we don't. Wink
We have a horse at the stabel who's really big. His name is Dice.
He's a big sucker for attention!
