DREAM THEATER ARE COMING!
My favourite band, the band I appreciate every note, every ripping guitar riff, every tune, is coming. I have been waiting 11 months for this since Petrucci (the guitarist, he is seen to the left of my avatar) announced that they will try to be coming for the next tour. Months passed, friends doubted me, called me a crazy theorist who had too much hope... but my faith never gave in.
The other day I was in bed, enjoying my day off and my chance to sleep in when I heard my phone notifying me of a message. Annoyed that I had been woken I got my phone and opened the message from my friend Adam:
"DT 25th Jan, Perth Showgrounds. :-D:-D:-D"
I thought I was dreaming! I jumped out of bed into the lounge and called him up, my flatmates were in there too as I practically shouted to him through the line "YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING, NO WAY, TO PERTH!??!!". After such a long wait, the dates were announced!!
So, on the 25th of January, on Australia Day no less, I will be lining up for what will be the absolute pinnacle of my musical experience. An evening with Dream Theater, who each member I adore and appreciate to the utmost limits, they are prog metal gods to me.
I knew they were coming, it was definitely on the cards, I just didnt expect for them to be coming to Perth. We're the most isolated capitol city in the world, and it is rare to find a fellow DT fan here. I was getting ready to save up all Summer to fly across the country to see them, but now I won't have to, they will be here!
I try not to think about it too much, as I get too exhilarated just thinking about it.
And cheers acidiica and Seraphim, I feel I can share a lot on this board and won't get criticized for it. ^.^
Hopefully a band will come your way soon acidiica! Good luck for your exams too.

Dream Theater?! OMG OMG GET ME A TICKET AS WELL, PLEAAAAAAAAASE !!
[start to think for himself]
I wonder how much a simple ticket to Australia
would cost me, and if there's any DT tickets left... gahh!
Jen you're just too lucky! I'm glad for your sake btw.

Aww, so good to have a fellow DT fan here on TSS Seraphim! ^.^
Hehe, yes, come! Come to Perth! If I had the money I would bring you over, we could rock out together front row. =P
More developments on the DT tour, not only will I be getting the chance to see them, they have also released Meet and Greet packages which include the following:
Dream Theater Meet and Greet Package - Australia 2008 ($350 AUD)
* One Premium Reserved Seated Ticket within the first 6 rows in front the stage, or GA PIT ticket (where applicable)
* Exclusive Preshow Meet and Greet with Dream Theater
* Autograph session (includes 8X10 Dream Theater photo)
* Personal Photograph with the band
* Official Dream Theater Meet and Greet VIP Laminate
I already have the $350 in my bank for the ticket!! No way am I going to miss this opportunity, even if it means having absolutely nothing to spend for the next three weeks.. This day is going to completely blow my mind.
64 days...

Unfortunately I bring some bad news... Tom my V2 passed away on the 6th generation last week. I was getting ready for work and took him with me, I thought I had paused him when I was turning off my phone but something must have unpaused him or I might have misspressed the buttons because when I got home that night I saw that he had gone... It was so sad, as he was meant to grow up with my V4, and Tom was a cute little guy, a friendly companion.
Since then when I leave my bag in the staff room for work I do a double check on my Tamagotchi, even if I am running late. I won't let it happen again, work shouldn't distract me.
My V4.5 has grown to an adult, Fawk has grown into a cute winged character (must save a chart with the names). I have turned down the matchmaker a number of times as I wanted a few more days with her, although I should accept soon otherwise she will miss her chance to be a Mum.
I caught her singing yesterday along to Iron Maiden, I think we've got a little rocker on our hands, she makes some adorable faces at the screen that I wanted to share:
I hope to make it to the group hatching this weekend, hope to see you guys there!

Hey guys!
Hope all of you are swell these holidays. ^__^
I just got back from the country visiting my Mum in a small town about 3 hours from here. It was nice and all, but dang, I missed my computer and bed... quiet solitude.
I am back now, and brought with me all my old Tamagotchi's! So now I have my full collection here at home, all 14 of them.
I have three active at the moment, my little Japanese P2, my V4.5 and my newly rekindled Black Connexion V1. This V1 was the first Tamagotchi since the craze back in the mid/late 90's, I still remember when I bought him too! Shortly after I did, I joined the old forums here... and so it went. It is good to have him back now, I found I had a downloaded character, a girl, by the name of Knobi. (Stars Wars =P)
When I find my screwdriver, I might rebirth my Keitai that I got from Jason a while back.
I took a group shot:
It's amazing how fast a collection can grow from one! I've missed them, especially my Mesu/Osu oddly matched pair (seen at top of picture)... opposites attract.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Right now life is good. Holidays are here, family, friends, new found relationship, oh.. and Uni results, which are as follows:
Immunology, Vaccines and Cell Culture - 64% - C
Comparative and Human Microbiology - 58% - P
Popular Culture and Everyday Life - 64% - C
Not the best of marks, quite average, I enjoyed life a
little
too much in the beginning half of the Semester... but, a pass is a pass. I'm now onto being in my third and final year of Uni.
I'll be taking Knobi and perhaps my P2 with me tomorrow to the family Christmas BBQ, it's going to be 38 degrees Celcius, which is going to be dreadful but hey... it can't be Christmas in Australia without the hot sunny weather! ^__^
Stay cool!
(35 days till Dream Theater...)

Cheers Alexa!
How's everyone?
I have quite a bit of news Tama-wise. I headed on into the city earlier this week with my friend Reece. Both he and I found V.4's on sale for half price, $12 each! We both bought one each, as it was wayyy to irresistable to not. We both hatched them that day, and we having a sort of competition, the first to reach Generation 10! Let's see who wins!
Also, a few days later (as in yesterday) I went shopping in Kmart for some random things, and to my complete surprise, I saw the wonderful display shelf full of FamiTamas!! ^______^
I nabbed one up and quickly walked home to hatch it, it's a beautiful little thing, you can see it in the picture. I like it so far, I think its a really cute idea. Seeing the three little babies on screen was just too much cuteness in the one place! It's been a while since I just went "aaaawww!".
So right now I have three active Tamas, the competition one who I called Lain from an anime (Serial Experiments Lain), my P2 and my FamiTama.
------------------------------------------------------------------
In other news, this are going absolutely swell at the moment. Looking forward to my final year of Uni. This Summer holiday is almost over... but by gosh it's going to end in a bang!
Mainly because of the following:
Three of those concerts are within the next month. DREAM THEATER!
.... DREEEAAAMMM THEEEAAATTTER
(sorry).... I... er... yes.... I've really been looking forward to it, it's on the 26th, next Saturday! >_____<
Hope everyone is well! Looking forward to next months hatching, can't wait to hopefully see you all there! =)

Heh-heh-heh. Actually, you can make that two hatchings. I'm about to put up the board for the next Namesake hatching. Somehow, I think a lot of TSS-ians will have a few tamas running in March... I LOVE your logs, keep it up!

Hey all!
It's been an absolute insane few weeks, as anyone could tell I was absolutely ecstatic with anticipation for Dream Theater, and the concert was last Saturday night. A lot went down, and they lived up to every hope I had... they were fantastic!! First show in Australia in now what is 23 years of their career. It was their
999
th show the one in Perth (do you know how metal that is down-under!? heheh).
I have wrote my experience at this show in my blog,
http://st-ungulant.blogspot.com/
. Waiting so long for this show was totally worth it, it made the night so much more exhilarating, got to get to the barricade at the front. I also got to meet a fair few Dream Theater fans (of which are so hard to find in Perth!). There was about 1000 people at the show, which, was pretty decent for this city. :3
Some pics from the night:
John Petrucci, this was the second time I had seen him live, he came on solo on his tour with G3, the man I got to meet and greet in 2006. So much passion in his guitar work. His solos were amazing.
This was the view of the stage, (excuse the security guard). Check out the drum-kit!
Jordan Rudess, the keyboardist, this was during his solo, the magical musical wizard!
On Monday I am off to see Iron Maiden, I heard a rumour that the show was sold out, here's for hoping! Quite a few people I know have got the same gold-pass for the front section, it's going to be a brilliant show! They're flying over in their plane, I hope to catch a glimpse of it. =P
Things are really exciting right now, everythings happening. I'm all set for the final year of Uni next month, shall post some pics and updates of my Tamagotchi when my camera batteries get recharged. ^___^
