Maxwell  CR2032 is a type they use.

You can get these at Wal-Mart, K-Mart, those type of stores and I think they're about $2.

EDIT: Ah my bad, didn't see your post Kat.

All the 2004 -> Tamas use CR2032 button batteries, as do many other small handheld devices so CR2032 is the most common battery in tiny portable electronics (such as pedometres and remote-carkeys)

The "test" ones that are inside Tamas are Maxvell brand but all the CR2032s are the same, so it isn't brand thing.

I found bundle of 2 CR2032s with price 1,80€ (about 1,60US$), about 90c for one battery. Not very much imo.

If you go look those from camera/watch stores and similar shops you get to pay even 3,50€ for one. THREE BUCKS 50 CENTS for one Tama battery...geez.

Sometimes you can buy batteries on ebay in huge bulk amounts. I have tons of LR44's that I got this way Smiley

I've seen 5-8 of CR2032s in one package with price 1,50€ (about 1,3US$) but those brandless usually have much smaller capacity of power - they dry out even twice as faster as brand batteries.

That 2-package I bought was Panasonic's

Wow - that little money. I have to pay 1,75€ for one CR2032, but luckily they seem to last forever xD Well, 3-4 months of active Tamagotchi playing, which isn't bad. Cheesy

Today I saw Fuji CR2032 with price 2,70€. And that wasn't even special electronics store, it was K-Mart style megastore. Phuh...
