I was so happy when he finally got eliminated! (Sanjaya)
I really dont like him.. he's not that good... (Sorry Sanjaya >.<" if you're in this forum...)
anyways... I like Melinda, Lakisha, Blake, Jordan... They have the best voice.. in my opinion that is...
alot of my friends (girls) likes Blake... lol

I honestly believe Sanjaya's stay was a ploy by the producers of the show. If you noticed he got booted just before American idol was about to host its charity in africa thing the next week ad they get rid of the weakest singer. And did any of you see the crying girl that one episode? She was totally a plant. The whole thing I believe was for people to feel sorry for that guy. All planted by the producers. Way to go American idol, not Tongue

I was happy to see that Sanjayia was voted off. I agree with TL! All that was a put on and made up by the makers of the show. The main idea of the show is to have the best singer win and he was not at all good. I don't really watch American Idol but I did see a lot about him on other TV shows and the radio Tongue

I don't watch this stuff or like any of it. However I do recognize that name from reading the news and recently I read that his popularity had a whole lot to do with Howard Stern wanting to keep this guy on the show and asking all of his thousands of listeners to call and vote for the guy every chance they got.

Here's one such article that I got this impression from:
http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/07100/776523-237.stm

Since I don't keep up with this stuff though.. sorry if this is common knowledge ^.^;

Yeah I think the hype and stuff was created so people like Mr.Stern would take this guy under their wing and then it exploded into a popular thing to have a crappy singer on this show. There were several really good singers before Sanjaya's boot that went first. Sundance shouldn't of went as fast as he did. Chris with the poofy hair shouldn't of left as fast either (he made bad decisions in singing certain songs, but he still sang well). And I enjoyed hearing Gina the rocker. I honestly think this all was planned so the show would have more controversy and hype. That really bothers me.

Now some international breath into this topic.

Let me introduce you the winner of Finnish Idol 2007, Ari Koivunen:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MobEfttXt08

22yo bartender from southern Finland town called Lahti ("Bay"), Karaoke World Championship 2006 finalist and world's first heavyrock Idol!

This take is from the last finals where he competed against 17yo Anna Abreu who preferred to latin american rhytms.

Ari sung Scorpions' "Still Loving You" as his 3rd and second-to-last perform in finals and it was his Own Choice song, and even thou he stated that he's not singing it to any single person it's known that his younger sister died in December cause of heart disease, and many ppl think that he chose this song for his sister's  memory.

Ari's first album will come out 6th of June and it will propably be the first heavyrock themed album of any Idols winner existing. Finland is so waiting for that \,,/

You both have excellent taste.  Grin

For some time now, I've noticed Melinda relaxing and that particular expression is less noticable. Also, I've read some sad website comments where they really bash her for it. Ouch!  Sad It would be interesting if we could all view our actions through the eyes of others. We may not like what we find.
