Well just for future knowledge, what you saw others do is known as plagarism. It's when you take someone's work be it a graphic, a written report, anything and say it is your own. I was taught about that years ago in elementary school.

The best suggestion I can give you regarding when you see others do it is tell them what we told you: that unless they made the graphics and the site, then they should not claim its theirs
