Let me just note right away that this hatch is not in celebration of the holiday but a celebration of egg decorating creativity and art.

(Original Thread is here: http://mimitchi.com/vpets/index.php?topic=637.0)

New: Post Your Pictures Thread:
Post your images and art here: http://mimitchi.com/vpets/index.php?topic=687.0

Event Theme:
This hatching is for fun and to focus on painting/decorating your Tamagotchi or other piece of art. Creativity is the limit here! Feel free to show off your talents!

If you'd like to, decorate your Tamagotchi or virtual pet. You can do this with stickers, paints, fake tattoos, beads, jewels or whatever else you can think of. Be very careful, virtual pets can be easily ruined by paint and such - if you don't feel comfortable doing this, then please don't do it unless you feel absolutely comfortable taking the risk or feel confident that you can do this without ruining your virtual pet.

If you don't want to decorate your Tama, you could always decorate a hard boiled egg to be like a Tamagotchi or like your favorite character.

Don't feel limited by those options though... feel free to create art, graphics, banners, avatars, signatures, animations, holiday related items (some of us do like the holiday for religious reasons and I don't want you to feel left out!) or anything else you can think of that you'd like to do to celebrate this artistic egg hatching.

You can post your pictures / art in this thread as early as you want or the week of the event Smiley

Participating in the Theme is optional. Feel free to just come and hatch a Tama or just come and chat if you'd like!

Group Hatching Date:
April 7th (Saturday Night) & April 8th (Sunday Morning) - depending on time zone, see table below.

Group Hatching is optional. However you are welcome to simply hatch your Tama on the 7th or 8th at any time if you'd still like to participate. You are welcome to just come and chat without hatching if you'd like as well.

Group Hatching Location:
TSS Live Chat.

B-Plan;
This worked so well for the Namesake hatch, I figured I'd use this again. If any of the times are screwed up please let me know, thanks.

I am so not a visual arts person, so I'm terrified to ruin any of my dear darling Tamas. I put all my creative energy into those Tamas I made for Kat and Brendan. Wink I would love to hatch something for this though — maybe my Hong Kong Plus 2? That Saturday night is my friend's birthday party though, so I might not get home in time for the hatch. So I guess I'll have to RSVP a 'maybe'.

I've been in an artsy mood lately. But I've had several artist's blocks.  Wink

Maybe I'll design some Easter avatars for Easter! It'll be 69x69 like my avatar; and it'll probably look like that too.

If you have a special design you want, give me a PM and we'll talk. It depends if I have time or not !

I would love to join, it falls on at 2pm on a Sunday for me, which is a fantastic time!

Love this idea, I might go with the idea to paint some hardboiled eggs with Tamas and such, I haven't done that for years.

I need to buy some craft paint, or textas!

I'm not too keen on taking a chance and modding my virtual pets, but I will come in and join on the fun. I enjoy the chats and when I can hatch, so we'll have to see. Maybe I might have Jiro's V3 here by then Wink

This reminds me how I tried to paint un-boiled ("raw") eggs when I was kid.
You can guess it ended up to be real mess... xP

I'll be visiting my dad in Easter weekend. My aunt comes there with her 2 kids.
I won't be near to computer with internet connection (as dad don't have a compu) but I'll visit chatroom through cellphone's browser as in New Year's chat.

Is Iceland in there especially for me? I doubt there is another Icelander here. I feel so special  Grin
Is this table made in summer or winter time? Just wandering because we don't change the clock here (no use really, it's dark almost 24/7 in the winter and bright 24/7 in the summer)

I would love to join. If I can find my mesu/osu pair I'll put some stickers on them and hatch them but if not I'll just restart my original tama and put some stickers on him. The time really isn't that great for me though, 5 am on a sunday? I seriously doubt I'll be up at that time (unless I haven't gotten to sleep yet  Tongue)
Looking forward to it, whether I make it to the chat or not.  Smiley

Iceland just happens to be in same timezone with United Kingdom Smiley
Some west African countries share this same "zero" (UST) time zone.

If Iceland don't use Daylight Saving Time, then you need to take 1 hour off from that chat time.
Will be 5:00/5AM for you...pretty tough to wake up that hour....thou I did that in Holidays chat Wink

I know how you feel. Northern Finland is equally north to Iceland and in winter there's 2,5mo long "night" when sun don't rise above horizon at all, and in summer they have over a month long period with sun not setting at all (aka. "Midnight Sun"). Sun gets down by the horizon in early AM hours but doesn't disappear from the sky.

I'm living in southern Finland but also in here we have 18h nighttime/darkness in midwinter and 20h of daylight per day in midsummer Smiley

I will be hatching a Tamagotchi and attending the chat, but I don't think I'll be comfortable decorating or painting any of my Tamas. I've worked hard on building my collection and I'd hate to see one of my Tamas get ruined. It's a very cool idea though, and I'm interested in seeing what people do to decorate their Vpets Smiley

*still thinking of what to hatch*... maybe a P2 Cheesy

I don't intend to decorating mine either lol. I'm still waiting on Jiro's V3, hopefully it'll come soon.
