There's no surefire way to get people to give you karma. People give karma to posts that they like. I can tell you what would make me give you karma, if it's any help.

I like posts that are well-written, creative, and give me some new information. I really like posts that tell me about new Tamagotchi that are coming out, or Tamagotchi in the news, or reviews of Tamagotchi products that I have never played with. I like reading logs that are well-written, with a creative spin. I like posts that have people's opinions written in a clear, polite and well-reasoned manner. I am especially likely to give karma if I see that a person is always writing interesting posts.
What I don't like are posts that are only one line long, and/or don't introduce any new information. Posts that just say "I like that" or "I didn't know that" or something are kind of a waste of time to read. Turning a post like that into a good post is just a matter of explaining
why you like that or whatever. That's what turns it from spam into an interesting opinion.
I am especially likely to smite someone if I see that they are always writing one-liners with nothing meaningful in them.
I believe that it's better to stay quiet until you have something good to say!
I hope that helps! Maybe others will say what makes them give people karma.
