Here's the most effective method:

Feed up your Tamagotchi till it weighs about 70lbs. After that simply play bump. At the beginning it doesnt matter how much you fill the bar up, but when you near the 8th round, try to get it as full as possible.

You can get a lot of points from winning at bump!

i have another question. is there a for sure way to get all of the characters? like on version 1 if you treat it a certain way then it will become this character?

I guess so. Check the TamaDex growth charts, it gives an approximation to what character can become what.

I noticed as well on the V3 that some characters are just naturally good at bump no matter how much they weigh. The ones I obviously noticed was teketchi's and the one that looks like a samurai. Can't recall the name. I noticed they're really good with bump and sprint.

That samurai guy tries actually be sumo wrestler, I think. The name's Sekitoritchi

And as you know sumo wrestling is mostly pushing each other off the arena, it's logical that Sekitoritchi is naturally skilled in Bump.

Just like Young Mimitchi and Mimitchi have fast response in Heading game. They are "sort of" rabbits

i just noticed that on the game bump
also characters from v1 v2 play!
that is really cool because i just discoverd tamagotchi's and
the first tamagotchi i ever had was a v3!!

You are right - it can get frustrating. The thing is, even though people say to increase the weight - which in fact does work - doesn't work if you want a lot of Gotchi Points from it. I just continuously press the middle button as fast as I can.
