Looks like Oden-kun is weird japanese anime (=cartoon) with short 7-min episodes.
(I don't mean all anime is weird but this one is...)

Odenkun in ANN

After reading the anime info, if you wonder what oden is, Wikipedia article can tell you.

Odenkun cartoon reminds me of Kogepan, one of my favourite japanese comic/cartoon characters.

Oden is a type of noodle.  The guy in the picture has a Noodle Cart, which people have out on street corners in case you need a quick bite.    Cheesy  I wonder if you're raising a noodle or something?

It'll probably be like the Tamaotch, where you had to develop the character's career.

And I'm sure that somewhere around the Tamagotchi Connection Version 10.3.69, they'll stop so you can catch up! ^^

I actually purchased one of these when I was in Tokyo 2 weeks ago. I don't really have any idea what it's like though, since I have yet to open mine. ^^;; I'll probably untab mine when I return to Vancouver or a bit later (I'm in Hong Kong right now).
