Greetings!

It has been a long while since I have written in this chaptor on the site. I will not continue with the day by day logs - in fact this is to be my final entry in this log.

Cerulean Breeze lived out to be a full adult, very healthy and with excellent stats. I am very proud of her and proud of the beautiful Chocobo she turned out to be. She was everything I wanted her to become.

When she changed into an adult at age 29, she was indeed beautiful blue. With her only known ability at Burrow, I worked to teach her Treasure Finder - the ability to find special items while playing a Chocobo game called Hot and Cold. I successfully taught her this game around the age of 32.

At age 32 I begin her strength training, where eventually she became one level faster then a regular non-raised Chocobo. She was the second highest level of running speed. She grew too old to train her strength up to First-Class running speed, but she got Outstanding which I am quite happy with!

After she reached age 108, I decided it was time to send her to the Chocobo Society for retirement, where she will continue to be cared for by the Chocobo society experts. At this point I no longer feed and care for her, I can only call her to my side and ride her around the world. Cerulean Breeze is the Chocobo I always wanted.

On a sad note, as of June 30th I have said my final farewells to my friends in the world of Vana'diel. While there is a chance that someday I will return, at this time I am no longer an active member of the FFXI community. It was like saying goodbye to a portion of my life and very hard to do, but all good things must come to an end. I retired Cerulean Breeze just days before my departure. She will always be special to me, regardless of my play status in that world.

Before my departure I tearfully I handed over her data card to a couple of friends who still remain in the game. They might carry on Cerulean Breezes legacy by raising her children!  Smiley

Without further delay, I will end this final log with some images of my last days with Cerulean Breeze.

For those that like stats, here are Cerulean Breeze's final raising stats before retirement:

Cerulean Breeze races against a competitor with a black Chocobo (the other color I loved).

Cerulean Breeze wins - she's such a speedy girl!

Cerulean Breeze and I take a walk.

We go out digging for treasure in the Hot and Cold treasure hunting game. Here she is digging.

Vysala riding Cerulean Breeze through Gustaberg, the fields where she was brought up.

Vysala and Cerulean Breeze.

Vysala riding Cerulean Breeze in sands of Altep, off to a special location to make a final departure from.

Vysala and Cerulean Breeze in the great forest of Jugner next to the very same lake that Cerulean Breeze's father TempestStorm once stood next to so long ago.

Thanks for reading.

Farewell.

It looks like you did a terrific job of raising Cerulean Breeze, she really is a beautiful Chocobo.  Smiley

I'm sorry to hear this is your final log, but I thank you for taking the time to write them and for posting the pictures.

I'm also glad you're posting again.  Grin

What a great end to your log! The world of Final Fantasy XI is so beautiful. Someday I want to play there. That's a long way away though, because I don't have the game… or a PlayStation… or a TV…! Smiley

Fry: Thanks so much, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed them Smiley  The chocobo raising was so much like a virtual pet, with so much complexity and detail I didn't even write here. It was truely fun to figure it out ^.^

Elana: Thanks ^.^ FFXI is so very beautiful, so addicting and so endearing. If there wasn't a financial reason, I would not have departed when I did. You should definitely try it someday, if you ever get a chance Smiley
