I'm going to be honest here: I'm not looking forward to when this place gets super busy!

I always prefer quality of posts over quantity, and I think that TamaTalk is the place for you if you want a huge jumble of people talking over each other and zillions of posts to look through.

Right now, I can actually read every single post that comes up (first time that's ever happened to me), and pretty much everything I read is interesting. However, I am a student so I don't have boundless time to do that if this place gets crazy busy.

I hope we keep this small but strong core of people. I hope lots of good, high-quality posters join us, but I don't want this place to become flooded. But if a huge population pleases Kat and Brendan, it's their board!

Elana,

I think I worry about it dying if there doesn't maintain a steady stream of posters is all. Huge is really not my style either, that's too much for me to handle really. Last time around we only had about 2600 members and most of them did not post so it wasn't insane.

I'm with you, quality over quantity. Just not so small that people abandon it for other sites and it becomes a deadzone - that is the only part I worry of =) I was mostly worried the other day because sign ups and post counts were getting smaller everyday, but I'm a worry-wart, that only lasted a couple of days, things seem to be pretty steady now again these past few days. Cheesy

In the end I think you are right, those that want a circus go elsewhere and those that want a more adult community with quality posts seem to be hanging out here - so I think that's cool and definitely better then a circus. Smiley

So naa, I don't want a huge population, just a population steady enough not to become a dead board Smiley

You make excellent points. Hence, I have plugged the forum in my Tamagotchi-themed Facebook group.  Cool

Facebook is like MySpace, only it was originally just for university students/alumni/faculty. It recently opened up to everyone else (which rather upset some people, because they liked being elitist). You can check it out at http://www.facebook.com
