Have you seen any summer birds yet?

Snows melting away?

Flowers blooming already?

Cold rains stopped and sunny days started?

Raining season started? (as some parts have dry in the winter and rainy in the summer)

We have still 2 months of winter left here in Finland and we won't see first summer birds or flowers before end of April but I thought to start a topic about the signs of spring you see in the nature as in many places winter is fading away about this time.

Post things you see and find outdoors that tell you season is changing.

My only reaction to Kokuma's question, as a Canadian:

Winter just barely STARTED, man! Grin

Here in Australia we have passed the hottest months, ... just.

We actually had light rain yesterday, which was so very wonderful. The temps now are going to be low 30's/ 20's, and I'm actually thinking of packing away my fan.

I know, El xD

Winter just barely started here too LOL. 2 more months of snowrain and cold.

But I thought to be early enough with this topic so I started it already, and hey, we heard that season has already started to change in Australia. Thou they are getting Fall, not Spring.

We've had to move down our heat a little bit, it is getting warmer here now. We should see some real signs of spring in a month or two Smiley

It happened today!

The first icicles! They appear when sunlight warms roofs enough and the snow melts a little.
That doesn't happen in midwinter, that happens when spring is getting closer...whee

I also saw sparrows and yellowhammers spurting and chasing each other in the air around the trees in school's front yard. Their mating season is coming

As a Canadian, spring has already started for us, but unfortunately my dad says no. Because of the rainfall, we've only had 40 hours of sun.

I live in Toronto, and yesterday felt like the first spring day! Everyone was outside without jackets on. It was absolutely gorgeous. But today the chilly wind came back, and the temperature is going to drop even more during the week. But love was definitely in the air yesterday! Yay!

It's not so happy here in Vancouver. There have been mudslides, fallen trees, etc. The Fraser river is about to overflow. If it does, I could be dead.
