Yup, I got the e-mail I was waiting for tonight from Ugobe. Pleo's going to start shipping October 15, at the final price of 350 dollars. Ugobe launched a new website for pleo at
www.pleoworld.com which has more info/videos of the final product. Im pre-ordering mine tomorrow, hopefully. What are other people's thoughts/opinions on it now that we can see the final product?

Thanks for keeping on top of this! That link was really useful. I was pretty ambivalent about Pleo when I first heard about it, but after reading the technical specifications on that website, I got pretty excited. It definitely sounds like something I want to save up for. The part that I found the most amazing was the "force feedback sensors" in his bum - he detects when he's being handled roughly, and not only do the motors automatically shut down to prevent damage, but his behaviour will respond in the form of limping! Shocked And not only that - he heals faster or more slowly depending on how much you nurture him afterwards! That is a level of realism that I find really really appealing.

I hope Amazon will be shipping them to Canada. I look forward to hearing more about it when you get yours, CaffeineChick! (I'm a little jealous but also excited!)

wow! Pleo seems really nice
my first thought is positive about him, I hope it doesn't have technical problems for the first release (since most toys that are first released has problems) , since Pleo was already announced like 500 years ago, and the decided October is gonna be the released.
I guess Ugobe wants perfection for their product.

I'm just glad they finally decided to release it, I wish I could order one, but I bet they won't ship to Indonesia
I'm short in cash too anyway... (I just bought a Wii!!!)
I hope you have fun with your pleo when you got it CaffeineChick!!

I've been reading all the posts on this since the topic was started. Pleo looks so interesting, I'd love to get him, but it's so expensive. I'd never be able to spend that much money. I've enjoyed reading up on it and watching videos of it, though. Grin What will they come up with next? Cheesy
