yes kat, it's true. i'm curious to see what the voice command can do! But it's not clear how they works in the description!
Can we really say some commands to the characters on a tama-microphone?

I think the voice command system is in that PC software interactive tabletop -thingie.

The Tama character hangs in the software window and you can interact with it by microphone.

This has already seen in Pikachu! Genki Dechu! game (Hey! You! Pikachu! in USA) which had this Nintendo64 controller attachable microphone and you gave voice commands to Pikachu. (Pikachu got angry and shoot little electro jolts from it's cheeks if you said "Sony" or "Sega" )

COOL! But I don't know why they'd want to. Tamas would PROBABLY cost more if they were in color (not that much more, but 15 US Dollars is a reasonable price for me) because of all the new technology. I actually kind of like Tamas in black and white. That way when/if you draw them and want to color them, you don't feel pressured to make X character purple. That's just my opinion, but I think color would take away some of virtual pet feel that I like in my Tamas.

i love the b/w so much, i think it's eternal, out of time. (I'm playing with my Vmigo and i love the b/w graphic of this v-dog! but the pet it's very very little )

Thank you for posting this information. I am excited to hear, well read, that even more tamas are coming out this fall. I guess I will have to work extra hard at getting money so I can save up and buy all of the different tamas. -__-;; So many tamas so little time!

I do believe that updating from black and white might be nice. Maybe to update Bandai could find a way to make the tama's less blocky and have more of a smooth edged look. The pixel look is really cute in itself, the black and white too. Maybe Bandai should test out a couple and see how people will like them while still selling the original look?
My boyfriend thinks that tamas should be in color. He really liked the pocket Pikachu digital/virtual pet. I believe that is why he wants it in color. I personally don't mind if they are in color or not, but I have never had a pocket Pikachu.

I don't think they should really change the Japanese tamagotchis and make them all Amaricanized. It does give for more variety but it loses the originality and idea the creator had for them. Rereleasing the forestgotchi and oceangotchi might be nice. I didn't even know there was a devilgotchi until mimitchi.com. Doing those but with maybe schooling or something like that would be nice. New angelgotchi characters would be cute and it would be fun if they were mateable too.

This is all just my opinion but maybe someone else thinks somewhere along the same line?

I've been looking at buying a Tamagotchi Angel, but their a bit expesive now. If Bandai re-released them with new features, they wouldn't be so expensive. I think that's a good idea xlittledolliex! Maybe make an Angel-Devil and depending on whether you praised or timed it out when it was doing good or bad deeds accordingly, you'd get an angel/devil. They could be infa-red too, so they could connect with each other and devils would mate with other devils and angels could mate with other angels. If you connect a devil and an angel perhaps they'd fight. Throw in a few more characters and I'd be willing to pay quite a bit more for a Devil/Angelgotchi!

I've heard that the V4s were glitchy and my little Olvia (Olivia) the Pyonkotchi is currently undergoing the name glitch, which made her Mlvia.... If they're going to release this V4.5 soon it'll probably be even glitchier.... Plus if they are doing a re-release of the Uratama to other countries than Japan, what'll they call the characters. Mametchi.5? They can't call the Mametchi on it Ura Mametchi.

Well, if you think about it... the previous Japanese Tamagotchi that came out in other parts of the world still had the characters retain their same names (like ocean, garden etc.). Besides, our version 4 has Pukatchi and Shimashimatchi from Entama, so if it is like Uratama, they probably will call it Uramametchi.
