Catz vs. Dogz for Nintendo DS

I have two main questions:

1) Do Dogz or Catz die/run away/ something along those lines if you don't take care of them?
2) Does either game run in real time or can it be left alone for say.... a year Roll Eyes

... without care like the Tamagotchi Game Boy game?

Gosh no!

Catz and Dogz do not run away... and It'll take you 3 hours to raise a dumb cat/Dog. And it dosen't go by real time, if you do something, it takes up like 3 hours. Including Scoopinng the litterbox.

It is not worth it...
Return it while you can...
