It was cold today, not much sun. I doubt the groundhog saw his shadow here.

Happy Groundhogs day. Sorry i've been quiet - Brendan is sick again (so rare) and it might have been food poisoning or the return of the flu, we don't know. So i've been taking care of him and not around here much.

PS: he added a  today because Valentines is coming up Smiley

Cute little animation Cheesy There was lots of talk about groundhog day down around here today, hehe.

That is why I like fall the most. It's not to warm and not to cold, just right Wink. Anyways, hopefully it will warm up a little.

Thanks, I like Spring and early Fall. Mostly because it's still nice enough to wear Flip Flops with jeans.  Grin

crystyl: Wow another Canadiian huh?  I am in the Saskatchewan area.

Very cool  Cool Canada is fantastic in the Fall. I was born in upstate NY and traveled over the border to visit a few times with my family.  Cheesy

Here in Finland we have this saying around Winter Solstice day that (hibernating) bear turns a side and winter is half through.

I could see where that would almost make sense.  Grin I wonder if I could use that when my husband turns over. (We call him 'The Bear'Wink

Sorry i've been quiet - Brendan is sick again (so rare) and it might have been food poisoning or the return of the flu, we don't know. So i've been taking care of him and not around here much.

 Sad  Get well soon Brendan. My husband has had a touch of a stomach virus. Maybe there's something going round.

Weather Here:
There's a two hour delay for school today. I think they're more concerned about black ice more than snow. Yesterday (Thursday) I was very chilly and I had to wear a heavy coat when out for errands. Tuesday I got caught in a snow storm coming out of the Mall.

``````````````````
Summer photos of a GroundHog. We also call them 'Woodchucks' or Woodlychucks, as my daughter is so well known for saying.
Why did the groundhog cross the road?
I don't know but he/she made it safely.  Grin
We play a groundhog/woodchuck game whenever we go on base to the pool. Whenever we see one we yell out 'WoodlyChuck!' and we get a point. But it's more of a group game because we just keep a tally to see if we can beat the score when we were counting last.
Cool. Smiley We don't do Groundhog day in Spain - but I have this film called "Groundhog day". I really like the film, it is very funny, and I guess it could be among my favourite films. =P
Yup I love Newfoundland so much. I am never going to move. The weather is a little depressing here sometimes because of all the fog, but over all we have had a nice winter so far. We have gotten lots of sun Cheesy
Thanks Snickerdoodle, I'm hopefully over it, but I thought the same thing around the same time last week so only time will tell. I wonder if there's some rodent-related holiday for determining when flu season is over
*casts Stupid Flue Virus Begone on LordMonkey*
*blim*  Grin
Ps. Sun was a day late. Yesterday we had snowstorm but now it's sunshine from wide open sky and the newly fall snow shines so brightly on tree ranches and roofs
I hope winter lasts longer than 6 weeks
