Yeah I had always been interested in the Sims 2: Pets, but at the same time apprehensive, because I was always under the impression that it wasn't much of a VP type thing as it is a simulation, (obviously, lol). I figure if I were to ever get a Sims game I would probably refrain from getting one for the DS just because I know those versions of the games are basically just a smaller version of the PC/Console versions.
I never played any of the DS tamagotchi games either, seeing as I know those are also focused around other gameplay aspects, and not actually taking care of a VP.
When is Bandai going to make a VP tama game for the DS??

I dunno hoping one comes out soon for the wii though.  Hubby finally got his hands on a wii the other day while out on his business trip  Roll Eyes the great thing about this is he will no longer run around saying "mommy I wanna/need a Wii, as he has since xmas.  No santa was not good to him this year, and I apparently couldn't love him too much since I did not get him a Wii...lol.

Oh gosh, I want a Wii.  Embarrassed But I'm going to wait a while till the prices drop, or better deals on games happen. I actually need to buy a TV that is compatible with gaming consoles. My TV is a little portable one, doesn't even accept VCR's or DVD players.

I loved the Sims. I remember forking up $100 for it the first week it was released. No regrets, except now you can buy it for $10...
But many, many hours on that game. I got a few expansions for it, House Party and Hot Date. They were cool, many spiffy new items. I downloaded a lot of skins, mostly WWE wrestlers and band members.

I've been wanting Sims 2 for a long while now, haven't got around to purchasing it yet though. But, always time. =)

Probably just as well as there are apparently very few games out at the moment for the Wii.  Me and my hubby though will get excited about something though and then we just have to have said item or thing.  We can have one track minds at times.

ME!
I played Sims original and Sims2 and most of the expansions, on both PC and Mac .. I am a Mac user and have to wait egons to get them in mac versions  Cry

I play Civilisation the old and all the follow ons.. I also play warcraft original and the new one, still prefer the original as the ogres are cuter Cheesy and I have starcraft but hardly play that... the characters look like slime on the map... no cute factor.. so I avoid playing it.

I was just about to post a topic posing this very question.
I love The Sims, probably my favorite game for the PC. I've played it on PS2, Gameboy, Gamecube, and the PC, in my opinion the PC versions are superior to all the others.
I loved the tune that was always played on the original Sims, for some reason I felt happy whenever I heard it.
Right now I have The Sims 2 and the University expansion pack, I spend hours on it snd I usually have to set some time table up of when I could play so I don't screw my grades up in school.
Anyways, It's an awesome game.

I liked the University and the Nightlife expansion.  I don't play with the Vampires though, but I sure do appreciate being able to carpool on my own rather than taking a helicopter to work which tends to disrupt the entire household.

I though about getting Nightlife, don't know If I ever will, but I will get Pets within the next couple of months or so.
University is alot of fun, you wouldn't think having to make Sims study and go to school would be fun but, hey, it is. Smiley

oh wow lets not get me started on how much I LOVE the sims2!!!

I do however agree with K-StateFry the PC version are by far the best, for the main reason becouse of all the added downloads you can get of hairstyles and furniture and lots of other things including ADULT things  Grin  my favorite part about the sims2 is the generations part, in one of my towns I have one family that when it started they ended up having 15 kids and well *time elapes* now 10 of those 15  of the origanal kids has had 7-10 kids and a couple even have grandkids, and now that one family takes up 2/3's of the town population and im having a trouble finding ppl that are not related to them to make diff famlys with LOL and the new seasons EP is soo awsome tho a bit on the touchy side of keeping the temps of the sims at a even lvl oh well, thats what keeps sims entertianing Smiley
