Just out of curiousity I was wondering how many of you also played the sims in any version.  I admit I have personally been a sims fan since the original came out and own all current and not so current expansions for the PC.  Even tried tso but found it to be too adult for my tastes.

Oh my gosh yes.

The only other computer game that I might have spent more hours of my life on is Civilization (and all its sequels).

I only ever played the original, because I knew if I could spend that much time on the most basic version of the game, buying expansions would be like paying to fail out of school.

I have, on multiple occasions, started playing The Sims at a reasonable hour in the afternoon and not looked up until I noticed the sun was rising again. Only because I heard birds chirping that didn't sound the same as the ones in the game.

Scary.

I have The Sims for gamecube; the graphics are better and theres stuff from some of the expansions. I nearly had two perfect Sims(With the exception that you can 't have a pefect personality), they were married. Then I accidently saved over it with the neighborhood I keep on my other memory card. Now I have one Sim that's almost gotten to perfect.

I tried The Sims 2 on my computer but I didn't like it.

I have played the sims on GameCube at my cousins house a couple of times. I really didn't play much, I would just watch. It looks fun to play and I might get it for computer, PS2 or GameCube at some point.

Ive never actually played the Sims, but I like games that are generally unconventional, (LOVE Animal Crossing) and Ive always considered getting a version to play on one of my game consoles. Maybe Ill finally get a Sims game when one comes out for the Wii? Does anyone own any of the Sims titles for the DS? Because Ive heard mixed things about them, but I like the idea of it being portable...

My daughter got the one for DS she played for maybe an hour?Huh  She traded it in for something else shortly after.  We also used to have the tamagotchi for DS  but I never actually got the chance to try it and the kids lost it.  and as for Animal crossing I must admit I liked the gamecube version better.

I've played Sim City on my old computer. It was fun but complicated as you had to hire firemen, police, give out paychecks, check underground to see if your community has enough water, and build electrical post so your city has electricity. You could even pick an option to make disasters happen like fire, or tornadoes, or even my favourite- a giant robot monster! I was like 5 years old then so I didn't do very well.

One day in 2005 my brother came home from the rental store with The Sims 2 for Playstation 2. I played it of course but I got bored after a while. It just got too repetitive. Well, that is the problem with most sim games. Tongue

The latest sim game I've played was at my friends house. She had The Sims 2: Pets. So I of course played it. It was pretty fun and I liked taking care of the pets (because your a vetrenarian in this one) but I messed up on cooking so when her sim took a bite out of the burnt food she collasped on the floor. What was really fun was who came to our animal clinic! Hillary Duff came along and said her cat was ill! We didn't have the right medicine so Hillary got mad and said she would tell all her friends! And my friend and I are all like LOL! Oh, and some goths came as well!

Hee hee I always ended up destroying my own city's too after the citzen's started to complain too much....Tornado's were my personal fave.  I have not tried the Sims 2 pets on the consoles.  Just for PC.  Sorely dissapointed that there were no Shih Tzu's shipped and not an option to customize them in either as the hair is too short, and muzzles are not able to get pushed in enough to really capture them either.  I love the little mops Smiley  It was the only reason that I got the expansion, to get my sims a shih tzu, because I can't have one irl.
