Okay, it seems like no matter what I do, I ALWAYS get Mametchi for my adult character. I know he's a good character, but Ive never had a mimitchi, or that many other adult characters at all for that matter...I dont even take perfect care of it nessesarily, (not bad care, just not perfect) and I still wind up getting Mametchi everytime. I was thinking maybe it was just the tama I was using, but I just got my first adult character from my V4...and it was another Mametchi! I like Mametchi, but Im wondering if anyone knows of a way for me to get Mimitchi, or other characters besides taking really poor care of my tama?

Ive only had one mametchi that had a baby, and the baby in turn also became a mametchi.

Try starting up a V3 and making it have babies. On second generation, you can get mimitchis. You can only get mimitchis on even generations.

Okay, I used to get ChoHimetchis and Pyonchitchis ALL the time (I hardly ever got anything else, I kept a notebook log of what they turned into and for several generations it was all a solid block of alternating ChoHimetchis and Pyonchitchis) so I have some tips:

Try not turning out the lights at night (if you have a V4 this doesn't apply because your Tama turns the lights out).

Try only disciplining it a certain way (as opposed to disciplining all the way, try disciplining every other time or not disciplining at all or only timing out or however else you want to do it).

Try letting the hearts empty to a certain amount or ignore one type.

Try not playing games at all, instead feed snacks an let your Tama get a bit over weight.

On V4 only: Try increasing mainly one type of personality point.

These ought to work, (I haven't gotten a Chohimetchi or a Pyonchitchi in ages) but I'm sorry if they don't.

Chi: Thanks! I figured out most of it by myself, mostly because I was sick of Chohimetchis and Pyonchitchis (not that I didn't like them, I just needed a break. I actually want them back now). The only time I didn't turn the lights out was when my Tama was an adult and that was an accident, I just read about that. Otherwise I've done all the others and am attempting the V4 one (leaving the stats LOW on all of my V4s). You could also leave it in your pocket with the sound off unatended for an hour or so. That works .

A boy on my bus always gets mimitchis and a girl I know always gets mametchis (I'm taking care of it now and it married my memetchi ).
