I used to play Ragnarok Online before, but then I kinda lost the interest to whole thing as the level gaining was so slow and there were other things in the game design also that I didn't like. And the herds of not-english speaking players shouting either "HEAL PLZ!!" or something other annoying was the last thing that resolved whole thing.

WoW looks like interesting, as do some of these "Adventure Quest" style browser based MMORPGs, but as I get addicted to things so easily I have chose to not to play any MMORPG or other multi-play online games cause I don't want to be total No-Life...I'm already like 75% nolife Tongue

On the first forum I ever was on, we did a lot of RP and what not. Had a good character and such. That's partly how I got my username I use to this day. Anyway our RP got shut down due to stupid reasons, and eventually the forum died and got deleted. Good times back then. Simpler times.

Hey TL, what was the RP genre/game you were playing?

It wasn't an RP game persay, it was a section on that forum that people hosted RP stories and such I participated in. I thought it at least counted enough for me to post in here. Closest to RPG I played was FF: Tactics Advanced.

I personally like WoW a lot and don't think it's that addictive. Wink It's majourly relaxing and there are so many aspects of the game to explore.  I think it's really versatile in that if you don't like PVP, raiding, or role-play you can skip on of those and go straight to another aspect.

My boyfriend and I play so it's nice to have something to do together since we can't really see each other in person much.  So yeah, if you liked FF I'm sure you'll love WoW.

Well if I recall correctly my RP was about my character looking to find the cure or solution towards her mentor's/guardian's illness, and meeting friends, foes and love along the way. I still have the thing saved (all 31 pages of it from that place) on various notepad files in a winzip if you want to take a read. It's pretty amature stuff since I was like 16ish when it began.

This topic deserves to be bumped, methinks.

I used to play RuneScape more than anything a while ago. I still play occasionally; I mainly focus on cooking or smithing rather than combat. I do enjoy exploring the Wilderness, although I just run away from anyone trying to kill me.  I only play the free game, I don't think I could ever pay to play that game, it'd make me feel guilty if I ever took a hiatus while still paying for the subscription. Suddenly getting access to that much more land in which I could easily get lost... Might be hard for me anyway. I spent my first couple of months in the newbie town, barely ever leaving.

And while it's not exactly an RPG, I do very much enjoy playing Starport: Galactic Empires. It's more or less amazing for a free game. I usually just fly around making money by taxiing NPCs around and remain corporation-free.

I used to play Dark Alleyway (Vampires!) as well, but dying every day I forgot to log on put me off of it.

Since the creation of this topic, I have been an active player of WoW for the past 3 months or so. I love it! It's a great game my husband and I enjoy playing together. Smiley
