Do you play any massive multi-player online roll playing games?

Brendan and I used to play Final Fantasy XI for about 3.5 years together. They made some major changes to the Beastmaster job (aka ruined it) and Brendan decided to throw in the towel, sadly. We had some incredable fun and made so many good memories together. I'll probably be quitting here down the road as soon as I learn to let go. That or I'll get more into it again and stay on, I'm not sure yet. I'm loving the chocobo raising part of the game and the new expansion right now.  I'm starting on my 4th year now as BST65 and SMN75 and my cooking is 100+3 with various other stuffs.

We also have played Guild Wars together, we need to get back into that... we just haven't made time for it yet. We begin that in the fall last year and we just barely got started, but life sorta turned us away from it. It was pretty cool, the controls annoyed me a bit so I changed them all to work like FFXI controls 

A long long time ago when Brendan and I were dating online we played Diablo II together.. and last year we played it again and it was still fun. It was more fun because we were in the same room this time too.

The dwarves from WoW look adorable.. one day I might give that game a try.. since its subscription it'll probably happen after I finish with FFXI.

Brendan's brother showed me EVE Online and that looked pretty neat, I liked the idea behind it. It too was subscription based and I just haven't had the money to go into another subscription game yet.


So that's my bit of online rpg type stuff. Brendan really is the one that introduced me to RPG's of any type, I never grew up with any of it. I've played some MTG a bit (offline) and a couple of other things too with Brendan.

Does anyone else play any of these games or other similar games? ^^

I play AQ (adventure quest) and the expansion *sort of* DF(dragon fable). DF is pretty fun but it sstill not that popular but AQ is great you cant walk around but theres classes, clan, races, subrace, and houses.

The only real online game I've gotten into was Runescape.

I joined quite a number of years ago when the concept of 'members' and better graphics weren't a part yet. I loved those years that I played, soo many hours my brother and I spent on it. It was a fun, fun game. I wasn't the biggest fan on training and dueling, I liked more meeting people on there and working on skills.

I got up to about 78 combat I think it was, by the time I was 70 Runescape went through major updates. I was a member for a few months but... so many updates and changes, it wasn't the same anymore. I used to know the market values in and out and now I get on once every while and stare in awe at all the new features. Members was a success, if I kept paying to be one I would have enjoyed all the new features, quests and skills.

But, no matter, I enjoyed it for the years I did play it, I've been wanting to get into WoW, I wouldn't be able to afford the subscription though, so I decided to put my gaming time on hold for a while. But, I look forward to once again sitting up through the night doing quests and getting involved in such creative worlds. ^.^

A bunch of my friends play, but I sadly don't....I'm too busy and way too prone to get addicted to things, haha.

Half of my friends are bloodlinked to WoW. I swear, that game has claimed lives, it's like heroin. My friend and her boyfriend play GuildWars....a bunch of my friends play Ragnarok and Eve, too.

I play FFXI that mimitchi got me in to and I have played Diablo 2 I really liike FF and I just dont want to leave YET becouse it was FFXI that gave me my curent screen name I think i will be very very sad when I finaly leave, I would some day like to join Guild Wars, Mimitchi showed me a couple of the Charaters from there and one of them I have the major droolies for and a picture of that character is now my background image wich just means I need a life!

I played Ragnarok with my friend who had moved away for awhile but, it was kinda unorganized and really annoying being a female character... there were constant questions from probably small 11 year olds, "Will you be my GF???"
