It starts with the tama I named after Kat. I was discussing it at one point, and Alice (alicetwasbrillig) suggested that for our next group hatch, the names of everyone there could be put into a hat, and  everyone would get allocated the name of someone to give their Tama!

What do you all think of this idea?

I've been thinking about how this would work (after some discussion on my log thread)! One of us will have to be trusted with a list of names of people who want to participate. Everyone gives that person the name they would like to use — either their username here, or their real name (first name only). Then, a few days before the hatch, the listkeeper randomly draws names for each person on the list, and contacts each of those people privately with the name they drew. So at the hatch, nobody knows who has their name or what  kind of tama will be their namesake.

I think it's a really fun idea. What do you think?

Actually, I think I might be able to build a tool to help facilitate this...I'll work on it this evening, should have it built by morning.

That is a very cool and original idea in my opinion. ^_^ I'd like to see it carried out, as long as the hatch doesn't have to be done at 4am - or I might be naming the Tama a bit earlier! Cheesy hehe ^_^

I think this idea is brilliant. We should come up with a date and time list that is good for everyone. I'm thinking a weekend would be best but I don't have a hard schedule to work around.

This idea does sound like a winner Smiley
