My audiologist told me never to turn up the volume of my iPod beyond 60% of the little bar. Louder than that and it's actually really dangerous. That's why there are lawsuits against Apple right now.

Although I will always be biased in favour of Apple.  Cheesy That's like suing a candy bar company for being too unhealthy. Hello! Anything in extremes is bad!

I agree, people need to take responsibility for their own actions. There's so much of that these days.. dismissing of responsibility trying to extort money from big companies. It's rediculous.

Yeah, I really should look into ear-plugs. But my ears have survived many concerts (metal at that) and no damage done as of yet (my philosophy is that if you can still hear afterwards, it wasn't loud enough)... but it's not looking good in future years.

I go to concerts all the time.  I don't tend to wear earplugs much, as it doesn't really bother me.  Then again, I never go to REALLY loud concerts, so maybe that's the explanation.  Thanks for cluing us in on the dangers of live concerts!    Wink
