Shades the Kingyotchi (how fitting Tongue

With today came some bad news. All was well today, and I expected an Ocean adult by tomorrow afternoon. I was actually just in to take some pictures of Shades, who was in tamagotchi time either 2 or 3 (I think 3) years old. Here are some shots of the status screens.

First, as usual with older tamagotchi, it begins with a screen showing age and weight. The next screen is a special feature on the Umino, or Japanese ocean tamagotchi. This measures the water, or the clarity of it. Gradually during the day a skull or two may turn black, and when that happens you can simply flush the water with the bathroom icon and it will take off one skull. During the game, if an octopus comes out of the treasure chest, all four skulls become black and the character will be shrouded in darkness. You'll have to flush four times and refill all the empty hearts it causes.

The next two screens are the hungry and happy hearts, which drop very quickly in this tamagotchi at the youth stages, and the unhealthy characters as well, sometimes even every 5-10 minutes. Finally, the discipline screen, which works just like the other tamagotchi. He calls, you discipline.

Right after I got off the status screens to take care of the empty hearts Shades had accumulated, I heard some ominous beeps I had really hoped not to hear for a while. Yes, the beeps of a tamagotchi about to pass on. Shades wasn't sick, he had full discipline, but his hearts were missing two on each. Could that be what caused it?

It was great having you, Shades. I restarted the Umino yet again, to meet a new baby I've named Dolores, or Dolly for short.
