There's a slightly different method you might want to try, it'll cost you an alan wrench, but those are dirt cheap at any hardware store.
1) Take the alan wrench and put a dab of super glue on the tip (a very small dab)
2) Push the dab of glue down onto the screw, making sure there isn't enough glue to seep around the edge
3) hold for about 30 seconds so that the glue sets
4) Then turn away, worst case scenario is that you have to try again with more glue, or you pop the head off the screw
I posted something simular above, but it didn't use an alan wrench, that'd be much better than a paperclip, probably less messy and less likely to get on the tama too.

Ah. Well, that's almost the same as my dad's tried and trusted method. He superglues a paperclip to the screw and leaves it for 24 hours, then you can take it out.

Blah, well it isn't fixed yet because my dad hasn't even attempted to fix it this week, and I've been sick and I didn't feel like doing it..heh. But I might do it today..
What's an alan wrench?

An alan wrench looks like a little crank, and it looks like this:
They're really cheap, and really common. You can get them anywhere tools are sold, not just specialty hardware stores

Oh, those come with like every single thing from Ikea that you have to put together. Lol.
It looks kinda big for that small screw though..I dunno...

Okay, so since the paperclip thing didn't work, my dad just drilled the head of the screw down until it was gone. Then, he tried taking the remaining part of the screw out, so he took the whole thing apart. He was unsuccessful in taking out the other part of the screw, and now when I put batteries in, it only has pixels on random parts of the screen. So, if there's any way to fix THIS problem, please tell me. Also, theres all kinds of crap on the inside of the screen now and when i wipe it, it doesn't come off.
I'm afraid I might just have to buy a new Mothra if it can't be fixed..

Well, for that, my advice would be to open it all the way and close it again. You may end up ruining the sound, but the pixels should reappear.

Believe, me I did that many times. I think the problem is that my dad glued the screen to the case X_X.. I think that pretty much killed it..
Oh well, a new Mothra is on the way.

Yeah, I found my box of flat-head screwdrivers so hopefully this won't ever happen again.
