I really like this vpet and just restarted him today because I put some new batteries in him ^_^

He's a pedometer pet and has this cool map feature that determines what kind of slime he will become.

I just noticed the slimes on another board before I came here... I was all squeaky and excited...  this one's by far the cutest

I got free slime keychains in the mail when Dragon Quest VIII came out... all you had to do was request a friend to get the demo it was great.  I got a big  one and three little baby ones... I should take a picture of them next to my slime pet!

can you actually raise the slime?

Yes, I quite like my digital camera...

And you can raise the slime, it's very different from a Tamagotchi though (I should make a log eventually) You start out with a baby mode slime and you feed him/play games with him and then he becomes a child slime.  He then becomes a different type of slime by where he walks on the map.  There is a map mode with different colored patches (it's the background of the screen, you can see on the picture) and there are different food in each of the lands.  I recently had a mud-like slime.
