Hehe, I know how you feel Mimitchi, *eating biscuits right now...*.

I can't cook beef all that well either, I don't like it overcooked and tough, but I'm too aware of it if it is undercooked.. I've tried mimicking the meat in take-aways, especially the Chinese place, how they do it is a wonder to me, not the flavour, just the tenderness.

I didn't make anything special this holiday, didn't have time, just went out and bought lasagne that lasted 2 meals and a meal for two on top of that. (It was a big one. XD) Maybe next year I will take the time to cook a roast, I've never attempted one before... and I want to try.

I think they beat the tar out of it with a wooden mallet, I think I'll try that when I have to cook it next time^^ Till then, I'm sticking to french toast and cinnamon rolls

Cooking is fun because it's really interesting and it's not that boring. After you get to know more about cooking, you'll enjoy it. ^^

Yup, especially after you've had some successes.  I tried to bake a pizza but overcooked it so badly that it turned brown. They called it chocolate pizza and still tease me about it to this day.  Roll Eyes

I enjoy new recipes for cooking or baking.

And here is, of course, my SnickerDoodle recipe!!  Grin

INGREDIENTS:
1 1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter or margarine
3/4 cup sugar (white)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 beaten egg

2 TBsp cup sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon

PREPARATION:
Sift together first 4 dry ingredients. Add in the butter, 3/4 cup sugar and vanilla. Mix. Beat in the egg.

In separate small bowl, mix the 2 TBsp sugar and 1/2 tsp cinnamon.

Roll dough into balls. Ping pong ball size (or smaller) is a good choice and then roll them in the sugar and cinnamon mixture. Dip the base in flour to prevent sugar from burning and then gently press down each one just slightly in place on the pan.

Bake at 400 degrees for about 8 minutes or less. Cool slightly on a rack. Put in container while they're still a little warm to retain moisture.

Makes 10 to 12 cookies depending upon size.

I can't cook, but I have had to cook at school. We've had to make stir fry and tomorrow we're making pizzas. Problem? I HATE PIZZA.

When we made stir fry at school it looked like glue and it tasted like glue lol... I never got to see the pizza because I had to go to PEAC before it came out of the oven!
