So many familiar names, it's really wonderful to see so many people are back
Thanks for all the compliments, this time we choose to do the board right. We hand picked the forum, then spent a good week talking about how to change it and then putting all the changes into place. We definitely wanted something improved from last time. I through the old boards up without thinking about modification and that was always my mistake - so we wanted to do it right. We also tried to think about some of the problems with the last board and try to eliminate those problems this time around. We think this one is far superior to the last one.
Kokuma: We honestly never meant to worry anyone and didn't mean to take so long to get back to the site. Back then life was not so good, so many changes and life just kept taking unexpected turns. So we did what was best, made some serious decisions to make things better, as Brendan said. I really think it paid off. We are happier and safer now and things feel much better then they used to.
Unfortunately at the time the last board was hacked. I was too uncertain on what exactly that hacker got into, but I was worried that he might have left himself a backdoor in to cause more trouble if it came back online. So due to the challenges life was presenting and simple bad timing of being hacked, we just didn't have the time to decide where to go to next. So it just turned much easier to put the board on hold until life allowed more time to dedicate some real time to the project again.
I was uncertain if people would even come back again, because mimitchi.com gained itself a reputation of never being updated. Now that we have time for things, it's hard to reverse that reputation. It is a nice surprise to find so many people have come back and to see some new faces
