Is there such a thing as incompatible characters?  My sister and I were trying to get our tamagotchis to have a baby on their first day as adults, and after countless visits and presents later, they're just stuck at 4 hearts each.

We thought maybe it was too soon after they became adults to have a baby, so the next day (their second day as adults) we tried again, but still, no baby.  She says she might have read it somewhere that some characters are incompatible.  What do you guys think?

That problem sounds a little bit of that they are 2 boys or 2 girls.

Yes, they are of different gender.  Mine's a boy while my sister's is a girl.  It's so weird, because when I tried with a friend's tamagotchi, we were able to have a baby.  So now my sister's is stuck waiting for the matchmaker to come.

As far as I know, there is not.

Which Connection version your Tamas are?

I've heard it's only way to get coffeemaniac Oyajitchi. To mate Otokitchi and Ojitchi.

I believe the Tamas must be adult characters for a full 24-hours or something like that, so on their first day of being adults they are not fertile. Depending on what time of day they grew up, the first half of the second day they might not be fertile either.

And the elderly characters are indeed fertile. I got quite the shock when I got Oyajitchi the first (and only) time.

I think its just a question of waiting. Give it a day or so and keep trying, hehehe. Both Tamagotchis need to have experienced a full 48 hours of adulthood each before being able to connect and have babies.

After 72 hours of adulthood, the matchmaker will start appearing.

Ahh okay, I've read some wrong information then.. 

We just wait until age 7 and we had no problem of getting ours to mate at that age =)
