Hey guys, I'm having a bit of trouble, I've been noticing this the past few days.

When I log on the morning I'm logged out, and when I attempt to log back in it goes:

You were unable to login. Please check your cookie settings.

So, I turned them off, and I was able to log in.. but then after a few pages it logged me out again. So I turned it back on, and it works sometimes, sometimes it just wont let me log in for a while.

I have the setting when I do manage to log in on "Forever" so.. I'm a tad bit confused.

I never understood the whole idea of these cookies, anyone offer advice as to what I should do? This has been happening for about 2/3 days, just a tad confused.

Have you tried logging out, then logging back in? It's possible the forum update is a little buggy.

What browser are you using? I might be able to emulate.

I just tried logging in and out, and

Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again.

I use Firefox, my IE doesn't really agree with me.

okie doke, give this a shot:

1) Log out (might want to c&p these instructions into notepad or something)
2) go to Tools -> Options...
3) click on the "Cookies" tab
4) There should be a button that says "View Cookies" click it
5) Scroll down the list until you get to Mimitchi.com
6) There should be a couple of cookies that say something like PHPSESSID and SMFCookie10. Select each of these, and click the Remove Cookies button
7) Close all open windows/tabs in Firefox
Cool Reload Firefox, and try coming back into TSS

Let me know if this helps^^

So far so good!

I followed those steps, and managed to close Firefox and come back still logged in a number of times, and it's allowing me to open a number of tabs with me still logged in. I'll let you know if it starts acting up again, but it's looking good. =)

Thanks very much!

I use IE and have been having troubles staying logged in supposedly forever last couple of weeks. Seems to be okay now at home, but dunno if it's going to continue from there. It's only logged me out of my school laptop once.

You may just need to reset your cookies too. It seems this is the case since the day I upgraded the board and perhaps it just got a little weird.

(yeah thats not too helpful :/ I'll poke brendan to help you)

Hey TigerLily, sorry it's taken so long to get back to you on this:

Suggestion one: Switch to Mozilla using the link over
<----------------------------there

Suggestion two: Nuke your cookies:

1) Exit IE

2) Go into C:\Documents and Settings\Brendan\Cookies
Where Brendan is replaced with whatever windows account you're using

3) look for something that looks like Brendan@mimitchi.com[1]

4) delete it

5) come back to TSS and login

hopefully that'll fix your problem without deleting all your cookies
