So what do you think will be the big hit this year?

As much as I'd like to say Tamagotchi, I don't think it will make it. Though it might still get great reception. I think the Nintendo Wii might be the big winner. I keep hearing about it from Brendan and it sounds like Nintendo, for the first time in years, is making a very very good decision about their game system.

Pokémon Trading Figure Came (TFG) is said to be big thing in Australia and Europe when it gets released here in December. (USA and Japan gets it Q1 2007)

It's much like collectible card games, played on a table with gameboard-like tablecover and has dice and throwcoin for "was it or wasn't it" style situations.

The good thing about Pokémon TFG is that you don't need to buy as many boosterpacks after starter set as you need with TCGs if you really want to get into the game.

Oh, this game sounds cool!

I've been planning to start Pokemon Sapphire again for my holiday (3 months!!), this would be nice to play as well. Now... just to find a potential opponent...

I think it's going to be Nintendo Wii or PS3. Tamagotchi V3 probably won't, even though it's the #1 virtual pet in the USA.

I know a lot about Tamagotchi, especially Uratama and V3! If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

Hmm...

When I went to Corte Inglés to buy certain V4s, I asked the woman whether Tamagotchi Connexion V4, as a "survey", was popular, and if many people bought them.

The shop dependent said it was, many people were buying it, and if it comes in fashion somewhere then it does in "the whole" world. I don't know how right or wrong she was, but the shelves looked full. Cheesy

Well, after buying and playing the Nintendo Wii.....Im definetly convinced that it will be one of the hottest, if not THE hottest holiday toy this year. My in laws came over for Christmas, and neither of them have played any video game since pong....but once I got my mother in law started on Wii Sports, she wouldnt even give anyone else a turn!
So in short, Im thinking this has the potential to be a great hit, because it's honestly something that any generation can participate in, and enjoy Grin(not to mention, the new Zelda game is ridiculously addictive!)
