Pikachu is nestling at my hip right now!

Soooo adorable. I like the battery-saving feature too, because when the battery dies, all the data is lost. I don't want that happening any sooner than absolutely necessary.

I don't imagine that there will be much to write in a log, because he doesn't grow or anything, but if he does something especially cute I will no doubt gush about it here!

I'm really excited to have a virtual pet that I can take to class with me. He doesn't need any actual caretaking so he's not too distracting, but he's there for company if the prof is being really boring. Wink Plus he encourages me to be active!

I was never really a Pokemon fan, but sometimes I can't help it; I look at Pikachu and think, "Pika pika!"

Right now, when I press "start", I see Pikachu's ears poking out from the bottom of the screen. The crest of a hill is curving above him, and beyond that - the night sky! Pikachu is stargazing! Aww, that is so adorable.

PS: Kat, don't worry, it wasn't as good as it might sound. There were no Aibo or Furbies or anything like that! Mostly very antique toys, model cars, Barbies, stuff like that. I found the one vpet in the whole convention.  Cheesy

I soo know your feeling. I never really got huge into Pokemon, but I did end up getting that Pokemon Pikachu 2. I've had it for several years now and even when I wasn't playing with VPs I carried it aroung on me, even while going to work. He is very cute and still goes with me now and again when I remember him. Smiley

That's too bad about the toy show, it might still would have been fun. With so many TRU's shutting down in the US these days I hardly see any toys in stores anymore. Sad

Reading this reminds me that I didn't take a picture with Pikachu. I forgot him again hahaha..

In Japan they released similar VPets of starter Pokémons of the 3rd Gen Pokémon Games (Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald).

Those would have been called Pocket Treecko, Pocket Mudkip and Pocket Torchic if they ever had end up being released in USA.

I have one of those also!  You talking about it makes me want to start it up again! Cheesy

I just remember playing the Blackjack game and I think one day he was riding a bicycle?  Hehe I saw him do alot of cute stuff.  I love pedometer pets because I can bring them to school and I know they won't die! LOL.

I was explaining to a friend the other night about how pedometer virtual pets don't need to be fed or cleaned up after. The pedometer part on them replaces these things with aiming for a specific goal or purpose.

Yeah I see both pikachu pets (yellow and silver ones) going for higher bucks these days online. I tried for a Pikachu 2 with no success. Sometime.

I wish more of my friends had a Pikachu pedometer pet (the gold/silver one) so I could use the connect feature.

Then you were lucky. Been checking lately for pedometer pets such as Pikachus 1&2 and they go for as low (if you can get it for this) 14 dollars to as high as 60! I know it's ridiculous. And even if you do see them for a decent price like close to 20 bucks, you don't see the pikachu 1 or 2 on ebay very often. I should know. I've been hunting for one or two of them again last 6 months or so.

My hello kitty pedometer pet is definitely a hard find too, and usually it's in the 50+ range dollars. Highest I saw was 75. I was lucky to get mine for 33. 33 with shipping included.
