That is so sad to hear that Tamagotchi are banned from all of your schools. I'm in High School, and I brought all of my Tamas with me every day to school. At first when I began bringing them in September I was worried about the reaction from people, but I was always sure that the sound was off on them, except for one time when my Mimitchi beeped in the middle of English class (I mentioned that in this thread back in November).

I don't think my school makes a big deal about Tamagotchi, seeing how I'm really the only one that brings them in. The teachers are mainly against kids bringing ipods, cell phones and palm pilots into classes. I've never heard any complaints about Tamas though.

But I guess if a rule is made against Tamagotchi/Vpets coming to school next year, I'll have to think twice about bringing them. I never pause my Tamas for the most part, so I *really* hope that the teachers wont ban them from school!  Undecided

All electronics are banned from my school, save CDs or USB drives for projects.

"School is a time to learn, exercise, and socialize, not to 'plug in'." - Quote my principal.

Yeah, we're allowed to have them in our lockers, for use at the end of the day, but at no time during school hours are they to be out of our lockers.

I keep my Mini, sound off, in my locker and care for it there. It's hardly noticeable and it survives for a long time without care.

Well I guess your principal didn't go to University of Toronto! Many of our buildings have wireless Internet and people bring their laptops to class to "take notes" (aka go on Facebook and chat on MSN).

To stay on topic, here's my funny story: back when I was in my lower years of university, I would take Pink Tama to lecture with me and keep it on my desk while I took notes. (I use a traditional notebook and pen, but I'm in the minority for that.) One time I was auditing Intro to East Asian Studies with some friends, and the guy in the row ahead of me turned around and said, "You brought your Tamagotchi to class??" I nodded proudly. Then he said, kind of shamefacedly, "I left mine at home..." Grin

But in my later years of university, the class sizes got too small to be discreet with my Tamagotchi. I don't care much if other students see, but I kind of do care if my professors see, because I might be asking them for reference letters later. I want them to think of me as a serious student. I don't want to take the chance of having them think that I'm frivolous!

I was in the middle of my mom's friend's baptism cerimony when all of a sudden i relized that my tama's were'nt paused[i brought 5 tamas]! Then 5 mimutes later all you could hear was BBBBBBBBBBBEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!! 3 of my tamas were evolving plus 1 was sick!!! The prist turned to look at me with a funny look on his face and said ' I think its sick'. i got excused and cared for them. After the cerimony i asked the prist how he knew they were sick. The prist said he had a tama[ i was sorta shocked to hear that] and he pulled it out of his bag and showed me. It was a young mimitchi and a v1.I got grounded for a month after that Tongue.
