I hate security checks too, metal detectors freak me out. When I went unaccompanied, there was another girl who also went unaccompanied who had to take off her belt when she had to walk through the security thingymabob. I wasn't even allowed to take my Tamagotchi on the plane, because you can't turn them off. (The safety card said they weren't allowed haha.)
I really don't want any more Tamagotchi versions as well. Somehow I think Tamagotchi are getting humanlike- but at the same time, they aren't! Because look at this: on the Famitama, the parents don't feed or look after the children. Not in the least. No, they have to wait for you to feed them and look after them.
Anyway...
Does anyone want to know what happened to the generational counter?
Well here goes: It stayed at 99G!
I named Xikun's baby boy Qi. I think it's meant to be pronounced "chi." I remember reading in a feng shui book that qi is supposed to be the dragon's breath or the life force or something like that.
Qi is now a Kinakomotchi. Akai is now a very, um, heavy Gurumetchi.

Security checks are bad for my family, mainly because my father has a metal kneecap, and we always get stopped at security. We normally arrive 3 hours early for every flight, because security staff in Sydney are very uptight about it. They're always like, "Are you sure that the metal kneecap is what's setting off the detector?"
I've been able to take my tamas on the plane back and forward to Botswana every time - 6 times each way now. I walk through with like, 5 tamas, and the security staff don't even bat an eyelid.
I'd be happy to get a P2, and maybe a Yasashii if I had lots of money to blow, but none of the new versions for me. They're just... too realistic. Gr Bandai, make something that's better for us old Tama fans!
I'm now curious to know if your tama follows the odd or even generational pattern. Wouldn't it be weird to have a 99th Generation Mimitchi?
Oh yeah, and qi is a person's life force.
Edit: No, we don't fight all the time, we FLY all the time. I mustn't have been awake when I posted that...

You know, my dad said he was asked to take off his shoes and put them in the xray thingy before he even walked through the thingy. He said everyone was asked to take off their shoes.
Okay, I will set a new goal. But it's not Tamagotchi-related this time.
Here is my goal:
To go all the way to the school my cousin was going to go to, then to the city, then to the nearby shopping centre and then back home using...
PUBLIC TRANSPORT.
So it's going to be: Bus, train, bus, bus, train, train, bus.
Or rather: Walk, bus, train, bus, walk, bus, train, walk, train, bus, walk.
Ta-da, another goal is set.

I'm still cheering you on, I think your achievement is inspiring
So now the mystery is revealed... the counter doesn't tick over at all. I thought it would just go to 00
Awesome to know the answer now. I do wonder if you will get only odd generation characters from here on out or will it still alternate?

Well Kat, now you can stop wondering!! Xikun, my first 99th Generation one had odd-gen characters: Ichigotchi and Mametchi. Qi, my second 99th Generation Tamagotchi had an odd-gen character: Ichigotchi.
Today I can't say much about my Tamagotchi because they haven't been unpaused for that long. Every time I go out of the house I put my Tamagotchi to sleep, then pause (using A and B on my v4) and then go to the clock screen and pause time, for extra security! However my v4 has evolved into Pyonchitchi.
If all you wanted to read about was my Tamagotchi, then you're done unless you want to scroll down to the bottom for the stats. If you don't mind reading more ramblings about public transport, read on.
So, for two days straight I have managed to take the bus and the train and I think I might just have conquered my fear.
Day one was the longer journey. Not only did I have to be on a train for about fifty minutes, but I also had to use train station toilets (if you can help it only use the toilets at the newer stations!).
The bus to the train station was pretty empty (and believe it or not, it came more or less on time- it was good it wasn't early because we got there only a couple of minutes before the bus arrived). In fact, at one point of the trip, my cousin and I were the only people on the bus.
We arrived at the train station and I needed to use the toilet. So I went. The entrance was looking fine, but when I got to the toilet it kinda freaked me out. I'm not going to tell you about that, just in case you happen to be eating.
Then we went down to the platform and the train arrived as soon as we reached the platform. We sat down in the train. It's one of the newer trains. Yes, I might sound weird or something but the reason I recognise that it's a newer train because of the font type on the route maps on the train!
When we got to the city some more passengers came on. There weren't too many people in the train but the train ride was really noisy, because there was a young girl and a young boy and they were talking really loudly and playing with their Nintendo DS with the sound on.
My cousin and I got off at our stop and I went to the toilet there. This toilet was a lot cleaner and I wasn't afraid to flush it.
We then took a bus (which came pretty quickly) to the school and did what we had to do there, then waited for ages for the next bus back to the station. Then we took a train, which thankfully came pretty quickly (and was one of the newer trains too) to the city, to get something, then we took another train home.
This train was a lot more crowded (some people had to stand but it's not like we were bunched up against each other) and we had to sit on the seats facing backwards so it felt very strange. The train was a lot more crowded and a lot more quiet than the first train we went in that day.
We had to wait twenty minutes for the bus home once we got back to the station, so my cousin went to the little shop at the station and got a chocolate bar.
The bus was the oldest bus I've been on for public transport. It was also the oldest and most uncomfortable- the bus kept on jolting and jerking, or so it seemed. After the nightmare (day-mare?) ride, I managed to go home.
Day two was better because it was a shorter ride. We took the bus, which came a couple of minutes late, to the train station. Then we took the train to the city and explored the train station because I have only been there once. Next we walked to the other train station and explored that one too.
We got a few more things and then we went on the train back to the station near to home. We took a bus which was similar to the one yesterday. But if yesterday's bus was the oldest I've been on, this bus was the most vandalised one I've been on. There was graffiti almost everywhere- on the windows, on the backs of the seats, on the windowsills and on the roof!
We went to the local shopping centre, had lunch and then wandered around. At about 3pm we went back home by bus which was another similar bus but a bit more pleasant.
My cousin and I then went back home and now our neighbours (a.k.a. our second family) came over.
Anyway, enough ramblings, here are the Tamagotchi statistics!

Sorry for not posting the past few days.
Qi is now a Kuchipatchi (yeah, not another Mametchi! Probably because I kept on accidentally choosing Punish when I meant to choose Praise and vice versa) and Akai is still a Pyonchitchi. Akai has lost a tiny bit of weight and now has a job. Curiously enough at the job interview Akai only had 8 Kindness points and about 72 Intelligence points, yet he got rejected for all of the Intelligence jobs and he got accepted into a Kindness job- a chef!
My Tamagotchi will be paused a lot more because the next school year is going to start. Thank goodness I've got a really nice teacher this year.

Lucky you to have a nice teacher. I've just got back to Uni, and my lecturer is a grouch. [sarcasm] I can't wait to start tutorials with her. That should be fun. [/sarcasm]
Well, the generation 99 mysteries are now over. Al little sad I guess, but well done for doing it!
