Are they V3s, V3 and V2 or perhaps V3 and V1?

Nope, they're both v3s.

Choose heart-icon in both, choose "V3" then choose Game, Present or Visit. Now it says "Stand By". You must choose same option in each, and when they both say "Stand By", push button B in one of them.
Hold Tamas with the top red "cap" pointing each other distance being under 2 inches.

Now they should connect.

Ohh, okay, thanks! It was the pressing B part that I wasn't doing. xD Thanks so much!

I've noticed that if you try connecting any Connection with a Connexion, you tend to have a harder time getting it to work. Not always mind you, but it can mess up. Are they both north american V3's or are they the european kind (connexions)?

Nope, they're both North American, and I got it to work. I wasn't pressing B when it said standby. xD

p.S. My first Tama had a baby girl! I'm so happy. :D

it dosen't matter if press conect on one or both.
anyways,if you want them to connect they do have to be facing to each other right
away, and if you don't than quickly press b.

Yes, when playing the Sprint game make sure you keep on pressing buttons. In my opinion Mimitchi is the fastest runner.

Hey, this isn't my thread but it's Sprint related.  Why does my character keep keeling over?  Is it something I'm doing or is it luck?

I believe it could be a little bit of both. Keep in mind some characters are amazing at the sprint game (from what I noticed), others are fair and others suck. I also notice in the instructions of sprint that you hit all the buttons as umch as possible so they can win. I push all my buttons to a fast beat (But not too fast, tama has to recognize the buttons were pushed) and in a sequence (A,C,B,C etc...).
